And what happened was I quoted it and it showed the edit. The post was edited at 10:58 am, I posted at 10:59, and then I was making another post, and the quote showed the edit, so I screenshotted it because I could still see it on my phone.
Just to put this in perspective for you, you're trying to strangely criticize me for not conceding in a discussion trying to tell me to leave the forum or even stranger for not being "sorry" enough to you over your mother but then you're putting up screenshots of a post I deleted trying to move on from this nonsense to draw me back in.
I deleted a post and you went out of your way to take screenshots of it and posted them only to then criticize me for taking "shots" at you and telling me I should "walk away" in your reply to my DELETED post....can you even grasp the mental gymnastics and lack of self awareness it took to do that? Every society has blasphemy laws, even free speech societies, if not de jure then certainly de facto. Go to your state's capitol and proclaim that the Holocaust was a hoax and you will see blasphemy laws being enforced in real time. Even speaking against the devil-worshiping LGBT agenda will hit you with repercussions in most public contexts. Blasphemy laws are a good thing. The problem is we are living in an upside down, devil-worshiping, God-hating, clown world. For most of American history, blasphemy against God was illegal. That was as it should be.

This is why I made the point to say that even if something is legal on paper, it is not necessarily legal in practice.

Guys, over the last three pages, this thread has gone from being entertaining and hilarious to being needlessly antagonizing and largely useless for the readers.
We can have fun, use satire, playfully tease each other, make jokes etc; but slinging mud isn't entertaining nor is it sustainable. Tit-for-tat caustic bickering doesn't add value to the forum, it won't encourage more members to join us, and it represents an opportunity cost, whereby existing members could have spent that time adding value elsewhere on CiK or doing more useful things offline. Please consider your audience when communicating.
I hope to use clear communications, reasoned arguments, and alternative solutions to encourage desired behaviors here. However, persistent neglect or severe disregard of the rules will result in suspensions or bans. For the good of the forum, please consider the below directions moving forward. Thanks for your consideration and all the best.
@Shaquilleoatmeal I recognize your dedication in contributing to CiK. I understand the need to defend oneself and the desire to seek fair treatment. That makes sense, and all involved parties have been cautioned for the part they played. Nonetheless, you have been warned multiple times for posting in an unnecessarily aggressive manner. If you don't want people to insult and attack you... then don't insult and attack others. Your screenshotting of edited posts is also concerning and is not aligned with the spirit of the forum.
Further, I attempted to use reason in response to one of your recent requests, even though I thought it was a needless complaint. Yet you ignored the advice and persisted with focusing on your petty grievance to the point of antagonizing our Administrator. Constructively and politely offering suggestions in order to help improve the forum is welcome. Demanding that the volunteers who manage the site bend to all of your personal preferences is unacceptable.
Could you kindly action the following moving forward:
[1] Find another way to express your views without hostility, ideally in a calm and constructive manner that adds value to the discussion.
[2] Refrain from (a) nitpicking the posts of others as a way to find fault, and likewise (b) jumping into threads to exaggerate minor issues and pedantically question the management of the forum (one example).
@FrancisK your return to the forum is welcomed and I hope to see you post more often across CiK. I would ask you to please step away from engaging in this tit for tat; and instead post elsewhere on CiK and use the report function where appropriate. Consider reviewing this post to reflect on how you can best spend your precious energy on that which is worthwhile.

There is nothing to be gained by attempting to prove others wrong through belittling them. Nobody learns anything -- not the readers and especially not your intended target. Instead, if you feel the other person is beyond reason and is not capable or interested in a good faith intellectual discussion, perhaps the option to simply walk away (keep scrolling) is a better choice. I had read the post, which was insulting, and had something in mind, and didn’t feel like just letting it slip. The screenshotting came after the edit because it was still on my phone, so I didn’t just wanna let an attack just be launched without responding because he “just happened” to edit.
I have no idea what me wanting balance on the Christian forums has to do with this. Even the site’s admin agreed with me on this and decided it was worthwhile to make a change.
I will try being less hostile in the future.

This drama right here is why I don't bother participating in any great depth with the Internet in general. After 25 years on various forums and social media, discussing and debating everything from music, to martial arts, to politics, to women, I just can't be bothered with it any more.

Also the problem with the internet is that people are anonymous and hence they behave in a way that is very different to normal day to day life.
In Internet forums including this one people bombard each other with insults frequently saying stuff like “bitch, faggot, troll, moron, etc” when was the last time you insulted somebody like this to their face in real life?
I am guessing it would likely have been many years ago and is a very infrequent occurrence and when you insult someone like that in real life you tend to never speak to that person again but on the internet people will rage against each other and then a week later act as if it never happened.
Always when posting before you hit the post reply button first think “would I say this to the persons face in real life?”. If the answer is no then don’t post it.

One of the benefits of our medium, this forum, is the time you spend with the other users. It helps drill into your head that there is a person behind the keyboard that you're talking to. Other mediums such as reddit or twitter do not have this benefit, it's why their discourse is so much lower and usually consists of people quoting bumper stickers and slogans at each other. That's also why some of the new users tend to come in guns blazing, since they haven't taken the time to acclimate themselves to the forum and get to know the users. I appreciated RVF's self-description, the forum should be thought of as a mini-club.
