Yes exactly, the cat is now out of the bag and on display for all the world (and any copycats) to see. It has been demonstrated in real time and quite successfully I might add.
It seems like Russia is stuck in a thought process from years ago where wars are fought on the front lines and non-military assets in general are expected to be left alone.
I think it's a generational thing - Russian general staff is full of soviet military school graduates who do not understand technological changes.
Same goes for us, our top brass is mentally stuck at Gulf war. We're about to invest hundreds of billions into an anti-ballistic defense system straight out from the cold war era, while nothing is being done to tackle asymmetrical threats.
