Racial Slurs

I don't approve of mass-immigration. In fact I think the West should totally close their borders and start repatriation, at least of criminals and those who're not working in a vital industry or paying a substantial amount of tax. However, my concern is that allowing racial slurs to be posted with impunity will ultimately attract more folk whose motivation to post here is inspired by racial animus rather than a sincere belief in the Christian faith.

Is this the sort of language of which Jesus would approve?

This probably should get the automatic *** treatment like a number of other words I have discovered by experience.

Some of the *** words have been quite mild, so I'm surprised the N word isn't already on the list.

I personally dont think racial slurs ( on the internet ) are that big of a deal as long as someone isnt going on ad naseum about it and its contextually apropriate. @Shaquilleoatmeal is using it for effect. I'm sure he doenst assume every black person is a nigger and I'm sure he's not out there calling blacks niggers right and left (though maybe ;) ...but i doubt it)

That said... there's been lots of racial slurs about ukrainians, russians, jews, and just about every other group on here.

Just my $.02...but then again I use racial slurs in my personal (not professional life) WHEN IT FITS and not geared to every individual.

For instance: Its New Years Eve and I've got a mexican neigbor who doesnt speak ANY english and is lighting fireworks at 1:30 which are landing over at my property... and causing my dogs in their outside kennel to go nuts. The noise is one thing... but having stuff thats on fire land on my property while I'm in bed is a problem. They've woken up my 6 month baby so I told em to shut it down and got cursed at in spanish and called a F'in Gringo ect ect ect. Thats the sort of person I call a wetback.

My opinion is that being able to use pejorative language on occasion isnt a problem.

I think I get the lefty pass to say it since I'm not a 100% Nordic blond blue eyed Aryan, but it's a gray line and I get lost on the minority hierarchy. Either way, it's a word that lefties gave value to like they did with St. Floyd, and look how that turned out.

I don't hate everyone with more than 10% African genes for being born with said genes, but the word shouldn't offend everyone in that group. "Somali nigger shooting up Swedish neighborhoods" is 1 word away from being a headline from ~1 decade ago. One word. The one thing that causes nigger to be nigger is crime, crime rap, drill rap, rape, etc. The term "white trash" seems to be the white equivalent.

And even if it does get censored, why not go ahead and censor: Guinea, Jap, gook, wop, dago, spic, beaner... well, if anyone wants further training... furthermore, it'll get stupid trying to decipher what "grape-juice drinking, watermelon eating [CENSORED]" means.

Your Mexican neighbor sounds awful. The problem I found in Latin America is that like 3% of people are sociopaths like this. So, it's not a lot but plenty enough to make life miserable late at night when you're trying to get some sleep, especially if you've got a baby in the house. Or in the early morning when one of the advertising trucks slowly drives through your colonia with its loudspeaker blaring at Metallica-concert volume. The noise is one of the main reason I wish our forefathers had had the insight to militarize the southern border 100 years ago and keep them on their side. There are nice things about Latin America too, but it would be better if all of it had stayed on their side.

My downstairs Hispanic neighbor is part of this 3%.

He and his low-life family have no regard for others living around them. They are constantly making noise, they let their damn dog bark for hours on end, and he uses the staircase as his smoking area and acts put out when I have to go around him to walk up to my apt.

There's a general de facto rule in Latin America, at least the parts where I've lived and traveled, that anyone can make as much noise as they want at any time for any reason, including all hours of the night. In my wife's country, having a big, mean dog that barks all day is considered a good thing because it's basically a poor man's security system, so that's likely where your neighbor is coming from. When I lived down there with her the constant noise was maddening but I'd also cut them some slack because it's their country and if they enjoy or at least put up with it being like that, I figured it's their business and I was a guest. I find it just sad here though, a real reminder of what Heartiste once said about the USA being not so much a country anymore, rather just a huge international bazaar full of people indifferent to it beyond what they can get out of it.

In general, I find that Mexicans have zero consideration for others when it comes to making noise In public places. Old, young, and everything in between, they’ll blare their music or tv shows in public places: their low IQ repetitive according music, soccer games, soap operas, whatever. At airports, on busses, doctor waiting rooms, wherever.

I agree. Generally I am against racial slurs, but sometimes they are necessary in context. I guess what I’m proposing is we be niggardly in our use of racial slurs on this forum.

Don't even get me started. Just a few days ago I was near a beach, eating lunch after ~6 hours, bing chilling, then a few speedboats come in blasting "youth" music.
When I say blasting, I mean blasting.
