Elon has been talking about going to Mars for decades, now suddenly decides it's too difficult and pivots to building a moon base instead. This is after he just pivoted Tesla away from EVs and toward humanoid robots, and merged xAI with SpaceX to build AI data centers in space. He's also promising that the combination of AI and robots will soon usher in a utopia of such unimaginable economic abundance that mankind will no longer even have need for money.
I'm honestly at a loss for words at this point. How are so many people oblivious to the fact that this guy is completely and utterly full of shit? Never in the history of the world has one man publicly promised so much and delivered so little, while being financially rewarded so handsomely. His rationale about choosing the Moon over Mars (launch windows every ten days versus every twenty-six months) is the sort of basic logistical issue that would be considered on day one by any semi-competent person when analyzing any sort of potential Mars endeavor. Indeed, the limitations of Mars launch windows is well known to anyone remotely schooled in astronomy or familiar with NASA's past Mars probe/rover missions. And yet this elementary fact apparently eluded Elon until now.
It's painfully obvious to anyone paying attention that Elon is simply some sort of frontman. For who, exactly, is unclear. But the guy is a total charlatan.
Tesla as a company only exists due to the largesse of U.S. government subsidies on EVs and the ruinous green agenda. It is totally non-competitive in a free market, and it sales have been cratering. Rockets and Starlink? Definitely some success there, but...
I think we're getting warmer as to who Elon is acting as a frontman for.

All you have to do is look at how Elon relates to women and the children he has with them to correctly analyze his character (or lack thereof).
