That's smart, that would alleviate a lot of issues and you would get some really patriotic citizens overnight.
That’s called a mercenary, there is nothing patriotic about that. You cannot buy loyalty, because a person who would accept that offer would also be willing to sell it.
Some would invest it and have generational wealth. Others would buy a Porsche 911 for $200,000 and spin out and wreck it as they leave the dealership parking lot. That's on them. The government should at least provide education on money management, and connect them with legit wealth management services.You could pay the million dollars to each person in 10 or 20 or 30 year installments, depending on a person's age.
