They weren't wearing wetsuits made for swimming in ice water. Also weren't wearing life vests. I'd say they had to be plucked out of that ice water ASAP and warmed up very rapidly or the cold water would make then sink.If he's a good swimmer he should be fine(ish).

Not even sure how that happened. There must have been some very particular water temperature/density conditions for them to be unlucky enough to find the one iceberg that wasn't 7/8ths underwater (or so we've been told forever )That water didn't have to be ice water per se, the berg did do a somersault on them after all.

Well, besides the water temperature, they did not appear to have any sort of PFD whatsoever. Those boots looked pretty heavy...Yeah, to do something as crazy as what they did, they should've at least put on wetsuits. I hope that boat got to them in time because I can't imagine being able to survive very long in water that cold.
