Of course there's plenty of criticism to have of him here. No one is saying he is above reproach... I certainly am not.
The reason this isn't going away is because it gets worse the more you think about it. It's not a simple failure to deliver on a campaign promise, which Trump has already been given a pass for many times over. But his total about-face on this issue exposes that he is more implicated than what was previously thought. It also exposes how much he takes his base for granted. He is not trustworthy.
