Starting a general thread since I'm not seeing anything else that's appropriate.

Internet famous prankster Vitaly from classic-era youtube has been arrested in Philippines for obnoxious behavior and other retarded stunts.

Lots of videos online of people gloating about it. This is riding on top of a recent controversy of some black vlogger Johnny Somali harassing Asians in Asia, culminating in him facing chargers in South Korea at the moment.

Skimming through some general comments on the Philippines apparently "disrespecting" them can be a criminal offense if they choose to take it to that level. Something as simple as arguing with a local in an aggressive manner. Maybe not a prison sentence but being blacklisted and your visa revoked.

Fascinating stuff.

I love to hear about these pranksters getting burned hard. Having them shot or beat up is good, but having them get arrested and sentenced to decades in prison is also very gratifying.

I think the potential punishments are overkill. He is just a prankster. 2 or 3 years community service would be punishment enough (of course if he re-offended after that then harsher punishments could be considered).

This is a reoffend. He got off pretty lightly a few years ago when he tried to hug a random chick on the street or something like that, in America, and ending up losing his shit and knocking her out when she pushed back or something. Maybe she had some choice words too.
Hes surprisingly managed to build his audience back up since then. He’s not the first to pull this stuff lately in Asia so it looks like they want to make an example of him. You wouldn’t see these guys trying this boneheaded stuff in Mexico or Ghana after all.

One of the charges against him is attempting to take an officers firearm. If true he's going to get some very hard time. What on earth was he thinking?

In other PH news, just this week, a Korean tourist was shot and killed in broad daylight for refusing to give up their bag.

Things are popping off at the Thailand-Cambodia border. 👀

Edit.

Thailand and Cambodia exchange fire in new border clashes, killing at least 11 civilians

Thai and Cambodian soldiers clashed in several areas along their border Thursday in a major escalation of their conflict that left at least 11 people dead, mostly civilians. The two sides fired small arms, artillery, and rockets, and Thailand also called in airstrikes.

Thai villagers could be seen on video fleeing their homes to seek shelter as the clashes began in the morning.

Fighting was ongoing in at least six areas along the border, Thai Defense Ministry spokesperson Surasant Kongsiri said.

The trigger for the clashes was a mine explosion along the border on Wednesday that wounded five Thai soldiers and led Bangkok to withdraw its ambassador to Cambodia and expel Cambodia’s.

Thailand has also sealed all land border crossings while urging its citizens to leave Cambodia.

The Southeast Asian neighbors have longstanding border disputes that periodically flare along their 800-kilometer (500-mile) frontier and usually result in brief confrontations that sometimes involve exchanges of gunfire.

But relations have deteriorated sharply since a confrontation in May that killed a Cambodian soldier, and Thursday’s clashes were far bigger in scale and intensity than usual.

These countries don’t have the stomach for war. I’m sure there’s a segment of the population in both that wants to run around with an AK but it’s not going to take long to “discourage” them. Cambodia is poor and has an entrenched western presence in education. Let’s just say they’re not taught to be warriors and neither do they love their government. Thailand is very liberal and a staging ground for “cultural enrichment” to the subcontinent. Both countries are pretty much on the same pathway, the only difference is GDP.

The border dispute is an actual border dispute. Fueled heavily by Asian animosity and grievances but young people don’t really care.

I think this is a local conflict actually independent of whats going on.

Thais has been taking notes from the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Berletic is undoubtedly shitting bricks right now. As a man who on a personal level has put his eggs in the Thailand basket by becoming a settled long term resident he obviously has got to watch his mouth. Berletic was 'smart' enough to voluntarily ditch his US citizenship so he'll understand that getting in trouble over what seems to be a small scale and periodically reignted border conflict just isn't worth it. Those SEA authorities, whether civil or military, don't play and they are just not going to accept a high profile shit-talking fifth columnist Farang in their midst. Thai jails ain't no joke and neither is having to run to a third country in you 40s, this time without a US passport. Berletic is speaking with a muzzle on.

Thailand obviously has had positive and at times even cordial relations with the Chinese for decades but that can change fast. The China-Thailand relationship just isn't of the same depth and controlling nature as the China-Cambodia relationship is. There is already a mini spat developing as Thai media are reporting increased Chinese weapon deliveries to Cambodia, and the Thai Embassy in Beijing has asked Chinese authorities for clarification.

This rhetoric is a shot across the bow even though the allegation is most probably false. The Cambodian Army is an absolute joke, lacking an Airforce, fielding obsolete junk and showing signs of unprofessional attitude usually only seen in African theaters. If the Chinese would have taken their military commitment to Cambodia serious its military would not be in the state it is today. Yet the point stands, the Thai demanding an explanation shows a lack of trust.

Meanwhile Berletic is just laying low and focusing on the tactical-military side of things. Man is probably hoping, praying and wishing the border clashes will not escalate beyond the controlled stage, and will be relatively short in length. If so he'll be back within a week, ready to posit his usual grotesque and CCP glazing takes, acting as if his current cucking never happened.

Hah. I actually agree with you to a degree here. His rationale to connect this to the wider global conflict hasn’t been convincing to connect Cambodia to be Western-aligned and I saw his spat with another geopolitics influencer where he lost his cool.

Both Thailand and Cambodia have their hands with both US and China so its difficult to come to the conclusion that Cambodia is western aligned. Much more data is needed to suspect this.

The alluded to 'segment that wants to run around with an AK' is called the military, and both countries have serious numbers of active and reserve personnel. Furthermore the people calling the shots are respectively named the junta in Thailand, and the Hun Crime Family & Associates in Cambodia. It is these regional players together with the geopolitical big boys that will decide when and where this ends. Not sure why 'young people' on either end would be mentioned as potential kingmakers, these people don't matter, never have and never will. In fact the commoners on each side are one semi-succesful psy-op away from becoming bloodthirsty and genocidal savages, recent history of the region in that regards speaks volumes. Overall this take reeks of a Western worldview projected on a third world conflict, Asian herd mentality, authoritarianism and patronage politics rule supreme.

It's especially the Thai that seem warlike during these first days. The Thai junta is posturing, and deliberately holding off any potential ceasefire negotiations by making hefty upfront demands. The Thai junta seems rather mad after having been subjected to Cambodian bullying for months, the constant stream of pinprick Cambodian provocations must have done a trick on them.

A particularly big source of discontent is the Hun Family's attempt to blow up Thai politics and by extension society through leaking a spicy confidential phone call. That and firing MLRS at civilian areas, and posting presidential photos of invasion plans. Some background info: after a deadly border incident on May 28 Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra of the Shinawatra Dynasty had a private phonecall with Hun Sen of the Hun Dynasty, in which Shinawatra low key trashed the Thai military whilst cosying up with the Cambodian leadership. In that phonecall Shinawatra called her supposed geopolitical rival Hun an 'Uncle', yet her supposed allies the Thai generals were belittled and called 'the opposing side', who she would 'deal with'.

Unfortunately for Shinawatra the Cambodians then double crossed her by intentionally releasing this audio as to fracture Thai society. Audio hit like a bombshell, the junta was fuming mad. It's a snake act that is now spectacularly backfiring, Shinawatra was suspended as PM and the Thai military is currently trashing the Cambodians. The Cambodians are asking for an immediate ceasefire, and the Hun Family is threatening to release more really spicy audio stuff soon.

Unrelated 9D chess, the Office of the Cambodian Presidency released these photos the other day. One problem: the maps show scenarios wherein the Cambodian military would take over Thai border areas. Photos were deleted minutes after being posted but the internet is forever.

Donald Drumpft is currently trying to manufacture a ceasefire, man is really itching for that Nobel Peace Prize award. In general none of the ceasefires orchestrated under his Presidency are lasting solutions, it's just kicking the can down the road

The Trump Administration's efforts come at a point when the Thai military has been pulling a lot of heavy materiel and equipment to the border. The Thai military has crossed the border at 5 different locations to occupy strategic mountain ridges etc, apparantly at 75sqm. The Thai have dubbed the conflict Operation Yuttha Bodin.

The Thai Airforce used its Swedish Gripen jets to bomb military targets in Cambodia, this is the first time ever a Gripen jet gets used in real combat missions.

These plutocracies operate on a watered down divine right to rule. I don't believe "saving face" is a legitimate concept but I do believe in image [status/reputation]. Young people might not be deciding anything but they're part of the audience. The elite draw their legitimacy from public's consent to be ruled. To me it looks like the biggest problem in Myanmar for example is their struggle with legitimacy. If the Thais march on Siem Reap this is going to become a massive international scandal and political crisis in Cambodia. I find the Thais committing war crimes highly improbable. Cambodian elite would be wise to avoid such incidents. Cambodians waging guerilla warfare en masse against advancing Thais is also unlikely. Point being this gets hot enough the stilts are going to buckle. The "international community" will descend on them. Not something they want.

Hah. Was Trump taking credit for the peace process when it was ASEAN Lead / Malaysian Anwar that facilitated this? I don't see the US Ambassador included in the announcement video and within the peace process discussion format, the US Ambassador is in the corner opposite of China attached.

Here is the opinion piece from China warning against Western-Media framing this war as a proxy war narrative. As I mentioned, doubt China would take a side given there are significant BRI investments in both countries (i.e. BYD Factory in Thailand and BRI infrastructure projects in Cambodia) and none of these conflicts are 'worker'-led. Both countries are held together by each a powerful family.

What a terrible opinion piece. It's so reminiscent of the Russian media I'm starting to think there's a think tank directing the propaganda coming out of the global south. While it's obvious the Jews want the whole world to think within the paradigm of Critical Theory, Asians would be wise to reject it. It's counterintuitive for China to speak of "colonialism" while they attempt to become a regional power. One can only ponder if they truly seek to become one, or just like their Russian counterparts, continue to operate with one hand tied behind their back — choosing to harass fishermen instead of promoting the party line beyond their borders. The Chinese acceptance of the regional lowbrow bourgeoisie elites does raise some eyebrows. The article might be right that there is a psy-op conducted on the western public, framing everything as a showdown between China and the West. Just like their Russian counterparts, perhaps the treasonous elements of the Party see that the Chinese populace consumes western media and fears their limp wristed responses to future American provocations will have a poor domestic reception.

The article tries to frame the Thai/Cambodia conflict as some kind of Asian growing pains, perhaps running cover for the bourgeois scum who decided to have a little PR event at the expense of their people. They were wise to end it before their own people became repulsed by their true face. The conclusion of the conflict is in interests of the Jew as well, for these elites are useful goys, worshiping shekels and status, completely oblivious to all undercurrents of the world that the Jew swims in.
