Thomas Massie

Wasn’t familiar with Pushaw but looked up her bio out of curiosity only to see that she was born in 1990. Couldn’t believe she was that young!
Same. I was going to look her up after the post about Massie, then saw this. I am shock! I think this picture with Massie captures her in a bad light, but she sure looks old here. I was thinking she was 45-50 as my first impression.

Not to derail too much further but Octpor is correct. Samseau seems to use the same logic with regards to Trump not being able to call out the jews because of "Muh, congress." A man of God does the right thing regardless of the consequences. If you are ordered to invade Iraq and the directive is illegal and immoral then you refuse your orders and go to jail. If the jews order you to bomb Iran and it is illegal and immoral then you refuse and get impeached.

Trump could clean up the GOP if he wanted, for example by focusing on 2 or 3 prominent neocons like Graham or Cotton and primaring them, making an example out of them to put the rest in line. Instead he is doing the opposite, harassing Massie.

Massie is an autist who voted against the BBB for trivial reasons, he made his own bed. His stance on Israel is not why Trump is against him and it's not enough to support Massie either. Voting against the BBB means turning America into a third-world craphole.

Massie argues that we don't need an omni-bus and we should vote on individual bills, which is dumb since none of them will get 60 votes in the Senate. With an Omni-Bus, we only need 50 votes. Yes Senate rules are retarded but that's the game right now.

All of those things are completely outside of Republican control. The Senate Parliamentarian ruled against defunding:

  • Immigrant Medicaid eligibility
  • Prohibiting Medicaid and Children's health insurance (CHIP) from funding 'gender affirming care'
  • Restricting certain states from increasing taxes on providers
  • Limiting noncitizen immigrants from qualifying for premium tax credits or cost-sharing reductions
  • Disallowing premium tax credits during periods of Medicaid ineligibility due to immigrant status

All said to take 60 votes. I know it's stupid, but this is the game. I wish Republicans would scrap the 60 vote rule, but both Democrats and Republicans fear removing the rule, so we have to play around it. It stopped Biden's team from doing a lot of damage as well.

As for the REINS act, also would take 60 votes.

Reducing the deficit is also him being obtuse, Republicans cannot even cut welfare from illegals without 60 votes, how the hell is anyone supposed to reduce the budget?

Really, the Republican defectors are just grifters bottom feeding on the corpse of America as it crashes and burns. By backstabbing their own side they hope to make a name for themselves. They aren't helping the country, nor are they fighting Democrats. Instead they fight their own side while playing off the ignorance of the public (such as yourself, but at least you are educated now with facts).

Except next time the Democrats get in power they will kill absolutely scrap the 60 vote rule.

And then Congress becomes as irrelevant as Executive orders, where they will completely change every 4-8 years.
Yes. Sure. Fine. All the words that acknowledge that point.

The other side doesnt give a shit about process and only uses the system for their advantage. Reference the Trump impeachment cycle.

What am I missing beyond the power reality I just outlined for you which is in fact reality????

Looks like Elon and Massie will both become irrelevant when they get crushed next cycle. Elon will probably come crawling back to the GOP table, he has no where else to go anymore. Dems hate him.
