Yesterday, I opened Netflix to continue watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. But guess what—all of the Star Trek series on Netflix now have the “Leaving Soon” notification. Yes, all of them: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, and even The Animated Series. They are all scheduled to leave on 8 January 2026.
I’ve only reached The Next Generation Season 7, Episode 18. While I will be able to finish TNG before it leaves, I haven’t watched the other series yet. Just when I was looking forward to finally completing The Next Generation and moving on to Deep Space Nine, this announcement came out of nowhere.
Yes, I’m pissed off. After watching almost the entire run of The Next Generation, the characters and the overall tone of the show have really grown on me. The anticipation of finally moving on to Deep Space Nine now feels like it will go unrealized.
When I searched on Google to confirm whether Star Trek was leaving Netflix, I found out that this is a worldwide removal.

I remember when I first subscribed to Netflix in January 2024. Not only were all the Star Trek TV series available, but the newer Kelvin-era films were there as well, along with Star Trek I–VI from the original film era. Around mid-2024, however, all of the feature films were removed too.
