The Trump-Vance Administration

With Trump’s return to power only hours away, it feels like the madness of the last five years is finally giving way to order. COVID, lockdowns, BLM, forced vaccinations, stolen elections and the endless conflict in Ukraine. These once-consuming events now feel like fading chapters in a chaotic era.

The world seems ready to move on, and so am I.

The person I was five years ago is almost unrecognizable to me now. I’ve endured, adapted, and evolved. But I’m done with the endless political outrage and doomscrolling. It’s time to reclaim a sense of normalcy, to live fully, and to leave the chaos behind.

I've been seeing teaser posts about this ever since the election in November, that lots of people from the state department, or other branches would resign when the Trump appointee took over that department. Of course I think "Can't happen soon enough! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!". There are a lot of tweets that repost this again and again as engagement farming.

What I notice here is that it says they received instructions from Trump's aide to do so. I'm a bit surprised by this. I assume many of these positions are civil service, and it's difficult to fire them. DOGE has been talking about reductions in force as a solution, because you can't fire individual employees, but you can close whole offices and departments and lay them off en masse.

I understand how these civil service job protections came to be, but at this point they are being abused and they need to be reformed. Since that reform hasn't happened yet, I'm curious how the Trump administration is actually handling this?

Some of them could be just millenial snowflakes, who run away on their own before the orange boogeyman comes.

I would be wary of letting your guard down too much, especially concerning the Ukraine situation. However, it does indeed seem that the next 4 years will be a time of stability.

Let's use this time for personal growth and preparation. What comes next may not be to our liking, so we need to be ready for trials and tribulations. Our enemies certainly will not rest just because they've lost one battle.
