The Trump-Vance Administration

SECRET: If you were listening closely you might have heard Trump mention a 'secret' he had with Speaker Johnson. It is abundantly clear that if Trump wants to put his dream team together he's going to need to make a BUNCH of recess appointments. The Senate is unlikely to agree to adjourn so he can use his authority to adjourn both chambers as long as Johnson cooperates. Is that the 'secret' Trump mentioned?

Under Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, the President has the authority to adjourn Congress in the case of a disagreement between the House and Senate over the time of adjournment. It's a power that has never been used, and its scope remains relatively untested. Here’s a quick summary of the conditions that would be needed:

One House Must Request Adjournment:

One of the chambers (in this case, likely the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Johnson) would formally seek to adjourn.

The Other House Must Refuse: The other chamber (in this scenario, the Senate) must then refuse to agree to this request. If this condition is met, it opens the door for the President to step in and resolve the disagreement by adjourning both chambers.

Once Congress is adjourned, the President could use the recess to make "recess appointments" under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. This would allow Trump to install his preferred Cabinet members without Senate confirmation.

How exactly is this a blackpill if I preach that the people must become more spiritually attuned and physically gritty and tribally connected to deal with the future? This same logic would call the Bible a blackpilling book for saying how we're all allegedly about to get wrecked in Revelations.

Because, as people have told you many times, you aren't sharing anything new here. We know the system is corrupt. We know the Talmuds are the source of it, but we also know that the real problem is the lack of faith in the country.

We know the best current politics can do is buy us time and stymie our enemies until conditions improve.

You are preaching to the choir, no one has ever said otherwise.

So, when something positive does develop, politically, and we can see how there is SOME kind of pushback against the political corruption of our day, however small it may be, it is better to enjoy what God provides us instead of droning on and on about how it's not good enough and the country is doomed anyways. That's blackpilling, and, quite frankly, it's anti-Christian. The Christian man is filled with hope, and accepts gifts from God with glee, and does not complain to God about the things he does not have.

Biden seemed awfully cordial to Trump. He was clearly happy Kamala is not the President-elect.

Biden's staffers were outside waiting for the arrival of Trump at the White House.

There were a lot of meltdowns yesterday from the rabid Left - via Twittersphere - in regarding to a Trump-Biden meeting at the White House.

@Lynnenallo: Sickening.
...
@David747Heavy: It's amazing how you are giving that POS, Donald Trump, the treatment he did not give you 4 years ago.
...
@Ronxyz00: Trump refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power the last time. Why even invite him?
...
@taradublinrocks: Sir, you welcomed a fascist convicted felon into the White House today who does not deserve one iota of your kindness

Trump conspired with Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk to steal this election and we should be fighting fascism instead of enabling it
...
@WeRSoFukd: What a disgrace. I was an ardent supporter of yours, Joe, but you have absolutely failed us. Your legacy is trashed. Enjoy Guantanamo. The guy youre turning us over to hates you and you are at the top of his revenge list. Good luck!
...
@bobbyduthu: I appreciate your lifetime of service, and in-particular, your selfless and patriotic sacrifice to allow Vice President Harris to run against Trump.

But your devil-may-care-attitude and powder-puff treatment of Trump post-election, is infuriating, if not unforgivable.

This son-of-a-bitch has vowed to act as a dictator, up to and including taking a sledge hammer to the values of our nation, and threatening his version of Hitlers’ infamous, “night of the long-knives, and all you can come up with is, “my team is committed to doing everything we can to ensure the incoming administration has what they need.”

This is unacceptable behavior, and conduct unbecoming a President of the United States, and I couldn’t be more disappointed.

Accordingly, it pains me to say, shame on you Mr. President.

I see a lot of posts on Twitter claiming maybe Gaetz for AG is just a feign by Trump, an extreme nomination that's intended to fail, but will create so much heat and smoke that it will distract resistance away from other candidates.

They say Trump can pick someone else who will be equally effective after the smoke clears, and Gaetz can be given something else as a consolation for having resigned his seat in congress. Or, he can even be dumped and forgotten.

First of all, I know things like this happen in politics, but I don't think Trump is planning this. I think Trump is planning on using a recess appointment to get Gaetz in, along with all the rest of his picks. There are too many RINOs in the senate for Trump to risk going through the normal confirmation process.

However, beyond that, I don't know that there are others who would be as good as him. I'm sure there might be other lawyers with more legal skill and experience, but I think Trump needs an attack dog to rip the DOJ to shreds, and eviscerate the FBI, or better yet fully disband it and start over. I can't think of any one else who will go on the attack more than Gaetz.

I admit Paxton would be good too. He's fought the good fight in TX against the Federal Government, but somehow I think Gaetz has the relentless aggression that's needed.

A lot of pundits claiming Gaetz is too young with no legal experience forget JFK chose his brother Robert fresh out of law school, in his thirties, having tried exactly ZERO cases.

More on the Gaetz resignation:

Apparently there was a longstanding House ethics probe into Gaetz on "sex trafficking" charges that was due to be released yesterday. By resigning, he ended the probe and prevented its release, since the House has no jurisdiction to investigate a non-member.

I don't see how he gets confirmed by the Swamp Senators, but if he's confident in Trump's ability to appoint him using recess procedures the move makes sense.

Besides blowing the top off the J6 events, I'm looking for Gaetz to uncover the FBI involvement in the assassination attempts on Trump. The FBI's behavior around both of those attempts stunk to high heaven.

There has been so much illegal activity by the government in recent years, it's mind boggling. I can wait for it all to be dumped out in public view, from the JFK assassination all the way to the present day.

I know it's probably why I'll never be rich, but I think working 80 hours weeks is absurd, and horrendous. No amount of money or prestige is worth working that much in my opinion.

Sorry for the thread hijack.

This is consistent to how Elon operates. Tesla is known for this extreme work ethic, rightly or wrongly. He has no problem cutting staff numbers globally and desires to only hire people that want to be there.
The problem he has is trying to scale that work ethic or hold onto great staff, when a majority of the workforce just want job security or to provide for family - rather than working extreme hours to accelerate sustainable energy.

At the very least I would imagine there'd be a few highly qualified American patriots previously burnt by their governemnt in the past that would jump at the chance to get involved.
