"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 12:00 /Moscow time/ March 19, 2025

▪️ After several enemy attempts to break through the border of the Belgorod region, by the evening it became clear that even if the Armed Forces of Ukraine had not abandoned their plans to reach the Demidovka-Prilese line, their were unable do so. According to our data, the enemy, having lost several units of equipment, scattered in the forests on both sides of the border.
▪️ Near Demidovka, the enemy cleared a passage in the barriers near Marine, and accumulated several units of armored vehicles with personnel
in the village, however Russian UAV operators burned the armor halfway to Demidovka. Part of the enemy personnel rolled back, while another part scattered in the nearby forests. It was not yet possible to completely drive them out due to the great activity of enemy drones. However, as of the evening of March 18, the enemy could neither go ahead, nor leave the forests.
▪️ In the Grafovka area, the enemy so far, apparently, made an attempt to advance to Bondarev ravine on the western outskirts of the village, but could not advance due to the difficult terrain.
▪️ To the south, in the Prilese area, the enemy occupied the Kochanov Yar and the Liptsy ravines from the north and also passed the Liptsa tract from the west, trying to go around and cut off the settlement.️ Despite the fact that most of the footage is coming from the Demidovka district, the battles in the Prilese area are of much greater intensity.
▪️ At the same time, Ukrainian artillery and drones worked on the 14N-493 road, cutting off the supply lines. ️
▪️ By the end of the day, it became clear that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could not break deeper into the into the Russian territories, however they did not abandoned their plans to continue the offensive. Sources from the ground write about the high activity of Ukrainian drones and artillery. It is also reported about air strikes in the support of the advancing enemy forces.
▪️ It is worth noting that at least part of enemy equipment is marked with the tactical signs of the group acting in the Kursk region. Moreover, it is clear that not all Ukrainian units withdrawn from the Kursk region, are involved in this attack. And with an extremely high probability, the dispersed enemy troops will try to break through the border once again, and it is possible that in another sector."

"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 09:00 /Moscow time/ March 19, 2025

▪️ In the Sudzha district, a noticeable decrease in the pace of the offensive is observed as the fighters of the Russian Armed Forces approach the border. At the same time, Russian stormtroopers are attempting to expand their zone of control in Basivka, Sumy Oblast, where fierce clashes continue.
▪️ The enemy managed to stabilize the front in Gogolevka for some time, and reports in some media about the liberation of Guevo and Gornal remain unconfirmed by the sources on the ground.
▪️ Meanwhile, a section of the highway north of Zaoleshenka came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces some time ago, and Russian correspondents are filming abandoned and destroyed armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
▪️ After the liberation of settlements that were under Ukrainian occupation for seven months, tragic stories of people who survived months of occupation continue to appear in the media. At the same time, bodies of executed civilians of all ages continue to be found."

"The situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad direction as of 10:00 /Moscow time/ March 19, 2025

▪️ In the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad direction, the enemy has significantly increased pressure on the positions of Russian troops along the entire front line, trying to recapture previously lost territories.
▪️ To the east, over the past week, Ukrainian troops have apparently been able to advance in Lysivka, taking control of the entire central part of the settlement, and reach the outskirts of Dachenske.
▪️ To the west, in Shevchenko, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have also advanced and are making attempts almost every day to break through to the southern outskirts in armored vehicles and land their fighters there. At the same time, Russian UAV operators continue to strike at enemy equipment and manpower concentrations, but have not yet been able to neutralize the advantage of Ukrainian troops on the ground.
▪️ Over the past month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trying to counterattack near Pokrovsk every day, trying to prevent the front from collapsing, as happened before in the Kurakhove area. For this reason, large reserves were transferred, including the Special Operations Forces, and now they are counterattacking with all their might, trying to recapture the lost positions."

Kursk - 20.03.2025
kursk20032025.jpg"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 09:00 /Moscow time/ March 20, 2025

▪️ Against the backdrop of Ukrainian advances in the Belgorod region, the situation in Kursk remains tense.
▪️ Despite the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in liberating Russian territory, the enemy still maintains a presence in four settlements in the border area. Also, Ukrainian troops have dug in in several forest belts, where they have equipped strongholds.
▪️ In fact, the enemy here has concentrated its efforts on holding at least a small patch of Kursk region. And since both Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko have expressed confidence that the Kursk region will soon be completely liberated, it can be assumed that the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for media purposes, gave the order to hold the positions at any cost. Thus, at the cost of huge losses, the enemy is ready to delay the official statement of the Russian Ministry of Defense about the complete liberation of the territory for as long as possible.
▪️ At the same time, the attacks of Russian troops in Basivka, Sumy region, have not yet been accompanied by success. According to our data, the northern outskirts of the settlement are a "gray zone" that is under fire, in which fighters from neither side can gain a foothold."

Belgorod - 20.03.2025
belgorod20032025.jpg
"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 13:00 /Moscow time/ March 20, 2025

▪️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attack in the border zone along the Demidovka-Repyakhovka line. In some places, the enemy managed to advance, at the cost of documented heavy losses, and occupy several forest belts up to a kilometer from the border.
▪️ The enemy continues to attack from Marine in the direction of Demidovka. Over the past two days, Russian drone operators burned Ukrainian equipment in the vicinity of Marine, but the enemy still has managed to advance about a kilometer in the direction of Demidovka and land troops. Heavy fighting continues.
▪️ In the Grafovka area, the situation remains stably tense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, as before, have not yet made any significant attempts to advance in the direction of this settlement, although they did strike a local bridge.
▪️ In the Prilese area, Ukrainian troops have dug in, in the forests and ravines on the western outskirts of the settlement and are trying to advance towards both Prilese itself and Repyakhovka.
▪️ Russian artillery and aviation are working on enemy concentrations in Turya, Marine, Prokhody and other neighboring settlements. Ka-52M and Mi-28NM army aviation helicopters are also involved in repelling the attacks, hitting enemy equipment with guided anti-tank missiles.
▪️ At the same time, it is possible that the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this section of the border is of a distracting nature - so far only a small part of the Ukrainian assault units withdrawn from the Kursk region is there. Against this background, measures have been taken in the Krasnoyarsk district of the Belgorod region to restrict the movement of local residents, and emergency services are working."

kupyansk20032025.jpg
"The situation in the Kupyansk-Svatove direction as of 15:00 /Moscow time/ March 20, 2025

▪️ In the Kupyansk direction, fighting continues to the north of the city of the same name, and on the western bank of the Oskil River where Russian troops have occupied a bridgehead and continue to attack in several areas, but the enemy is not sitting idle either.
▪️ In the north, after the capture of Topoli by the Russian Armed Forces, there was some lull. But now it has become known that the Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the direction of Kamyanka. However, statements about the liberation of the village are premature - Russian stormtroopers have only been able to approach the outskirts so far.
▪️ At the same time, there are rumors about Russian advances in the Krasny Pershy area, but they have not yet been confirmed by either objective footage or sources from the ground.
▪️ The situation in the Fyholivka area has become clearer: the settlement is still controlled by the enemy, and although on February 17 the Russian Ministry of Defense reported its capture, it was not possible to consolidate in the village due to the activity of enemy drones.
▪️ Some time ago, the enemy carried out an attack within the boundries of Dvorichna, along the Nyzhnya Dvorichna River. The territory of the village up to Partyzanska Street came under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - as of yesterday, fighting continued in the settlement.
▪️ The situation on the Zapadne-Kalynove line remains hidden by the "fog of war". Despite reports about the advancement of the Russian Armed Forces in this area, the information has not yet been confirmed by objective footage.
▪️ It can be assumed that the intensity of the fighting in the Kupyansk-Svatove direction will increase, especially given the increased activity of the enemy in the areas bordering the Belgorod Region. And as spring approaches and leaves appear on the trees, the activity of reconnaissance and sabotage groups on both sides will inevitably increase."

Zaporozhye - 20.03.2025
zaporozhye20032025.jpg
"The situation in the Zaporozhye direction by the end of March 20, 2025

▪️ Russian troops are increasing their activity in the entire Zaporozhye direction. In several sectors, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces were able to advance deep into the enemy's defenses.
▪️ Fighting continues on the Pyatykhatky-Stepove line, where Russian troops are advancing in the direction of Lobkove from both the south and east - there are successes, but there is no talk about the liberation of the village yet. In addition, there are reports of Russian advances in the forest belts north of Stepove.
▪️ Heavy fighting continues in Mali Shcherbaky and near Shcherbaky. Information about the liberation of these settlements is premature - there is still a lot of work to do before that.
▪️ Information is also coming from the Robotyne area, about Russian attempts to advance - according to the most optimistic data, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces are already approaching the outskirts of Novodanylivka, but for now this looks like an exaggeration.
▪️ Further to the east, in the Novopokrovka area, Russian troops are advancing in the direction of Mala Tokmachka, through the forest belts along the N-08 road. The area is very difficult and mine-ridden, and a large number of Ukrainian drones are observed in the sky, so there are no significant advances yet.
▪️ Apparently, Russian offensive operations in this direction will continue in the near future, and the enemy will be forced to use reserves, including some of the forces withdrawn from the Kursk region."

"The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Sudzha gas metering station. March 21, 2025

▪️ At night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up the Sudzha gas metering station, through which gas supplies to Europe had previously been sent. A large fire broke out at the facility, and the glow from it was visible even in Sumy.

▪️ Representatives of the Kiev regime could not think of anything smarter than to start the old tune about Russian self-shelling and call what happened a “Russian provocation”.
▪️ The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under the "terrorist attack" articles.
▪️ The purpose of the action is clear: in addition to destroying infrastructure before the complete retreat from the Kursk region, the Kiev regime is also trying to present this as an “example of the inability of the Russian Federation to negotiate” against the backdrop of an agreement to refrain from attacks on the energy sector.
▪️ This is already the second Ukrainian attack on the energy sector - on March 19, the enemy struck the Kavkazskaya station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. Which together confirms the reputation of the so-called Ukraine as a "monkey with a grenade", which itself does not intend to comply with the agreements.
▪️ The Kiev regime can only be forced to comply with something by force, be it massive strikes or real pressure from the United States, which must be taken into account in the negotiations."

It's springtime and the Russians have totally avoided a block-by-block slog thru Pokrovsk - unlike the city fights of the last two winters. In the fall, they were able to get comparatively faster advances in the outlying villages by creating pockets where possible around a given city, then bombarding, then a relatively clean seizure of the city (less damaging), once Ukraine forces realized they were at a disadvantage and had to leave while the back door was still open.

Pokrovsk is much bigger than any of those villages, so it'll take a lot more to 'pocketize' it, especially with close proximity to Myrnohrad. Just due to size, it will take a much larger formation to take on a flanking maneuver on the west (Hyryshne area). If Russia can regain momentum, it'll be interesting to see if they go for a big arrow move or revert to pound and ground. I'm betting pound and ground. Stick with the method that has delivered them this far and minimizes movement exposure.

Also, it seems the Ukrianians have stepped up their long-range drone game. They've hit some big targets relatively deep in Russia with what appear to be large warheads. These thigs are not flying lawnmowers. I think this is some critical western help here - pairing various long-range drone technologies with bigger bang western warheads.

"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 15:00 /Moscow time/ March 24, 2025

▪️ Despite the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the border area of the Belgorod region, Russian troops continue to liberate the Kursk region, having cleared part of the territory between Sudzha and the state border from the enemy forces.
▪️ In the Lebedevka-Rubanshchina-Novenke triangle, Russian troops captured several forest belts, and the forward detachments managed to advance in the direction of the Sudzha border checkpoint and the gas measuring station of the same name, where a fire continues after it was blown up by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Fighting is still ongoing in neighboring Gogolevka.
▪️ The villages of Oleshnya, Guevo and Gornal are still occupied by the enemy. Units of the 80th, 82nd, 95th airborne brigades and the 17th tank brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are operating there, and knocking them out will be a more difficult task than it was with the disoriented troops of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
▪️ At the same time, on the western flank, fighting continues along the Volodymyrivka-Veselivka-Zhuravka line in the Sumy region. There are reports of attacks of the Russian Armed Forces in the direction of Vodolahy, but they have not yet been confirmed by objective footage.
▪️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine maintain a large concentration of troops in the Sumy region not so much out of fear of a Russian operation to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region, but in the expectation of making new attempts to break through the state border, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have enough forces for another attack similar to what is happening in the Belgorod region."

Belgorod - 24.03.2025
belgorod24022025.jpg
"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 20:00 /Moscow time/ March 24, 2025

▪️ In the Belgorod region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attack in the Krasnoyarsk region for several days in a row. Clashes are underway in several populated areas.
▪️ Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered Demidovka at least twice, but were driven out both times. Today, the fighting continued: the enemy continues to deliver personnel to the village, the western and central parts of which are already in ruins. Infantry groups enter both on foot and on ATVs.
▪️ During the day, enemy assault groups were able to drop into neighboring Popovka. According to preliminary information, some went along the road from the southern outskirts of Demidovka, and other - along the ravine from the side of Myropilske. The enemy was able to get close to the positions of Russian Border Guard. By evening, the enemy partially began to retreat, although the status of current control over Popovka remains unknown.
▪️ There have been no enemy attacks in the direction of Grafovka yet, despite the destruction of the bridge in the center of the village.
▪️ And in the vicinity of Prilese, by mid-day, the Russian Armed Forces were able to dislodge the enemy from the positions they had previously occupied.
▪️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine have not abandoned their plans for the Russian borderland. The enemy forces, left over after the retreat from the Kursk region, are dispersed along the border and can attack not only in the immediate vicinity of the current areas of activity, but also in other sectors."

Toretsk - 25.03.2025
toretsk25032025.jpg
"The situation in the Toretsk direction as of 14:00 /Moscow time/ March 25, 2025

▪️ In the Toretsk direction, for a long time, the main events took place in Toretsk itself. where Russian troops advanced within the city boundaries, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine often counterattacked. Fighting in the city continues to this day, however now, the flanks have become noticeably more active, and there are successes in the Novobakhmutivka and Tarasivka sectors.
▪️ To the north, about a week ago, it became known about the advance of Russian troops to the north of Druzhba. The assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces, supported by armored vehicles, were able to significantly advance west of the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal. Fighting and the offensive of Russian troops on this line continues to this day.
▪️ The situation in Toretsk itself remains difficult. Both the enemy and the Russian Armed Forces are throwing reserves into the city and operating in small infantry groups. In fact, in the ruins of the buildings, there is no clear and unambiguous zone of control. The drone situation in the settlement is extremely complicated, which obviously affects the possibilities of both offensive actions and consolidation in the ruins of the city.
▪️ To the southwest, there are successes near New York, where Russian troops managed to advance near two settlements. Russian stormtroopers, supported by armored vehicles, were able to advance and engage in battles for Panteleimonivka and Olexandropil. There are already reports online about the liberation of these settlements, but this does not correspond to reality yet, as there are still clashes in both villages. The enemy has yet to be driven out and cleared, and only then will it be possible to talk about control over these settlements.
▪️ Further to the southwest, the enemy still maintains a presence in a small pocket between Novobakhmutivka and Novokalynove. On the morning of March 24, the Armed Forces of Ukraine blew up one of their large strongholds, part of the communication passages of which are located under the roadbed of the H-20 highway. This was done not only to avoid leaving old and well-equipped positions for Russian troops, but also to complicate the further advance of the Russian Armed Forces and the use of the highway itself. For now, the enemy maintains a presence here, as well as in the surrounding forest belts. However, given the general vector of the development of the situation, it is possible that Russian troops will be able to enter these positions by the end of March.
▪️ To the west, there is also an advance in the Tarasivka area, on the Zelene Pole-Vodyane Druhe line. Fighters of the 33rd Motor Rifle Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces are operating in the settlement - by now, about half of the settlement has come under Russian control, and they are advancing further north. The enemy is not only very actively holding the defense here, but also is trying to counterattack. The drone situation is also very difficult in this area.

▪️ In general, there has been some change in the Russian approach to military operations in this direction. If for a long time the main place of heavy fighting remained Toretsk, and in other areas there was only positional confrontation, now the front has noticeably become more active along almost the entire line of contact. It is possible that this will allow to achieve greater and more significant successes than in the assault in Toretsk alone. Because there, although Russian troops were able to wedge themselves into the buildings, they were unable to consolidate and fully control the city without occupying the surrounding fields and settlements."

Kupyansk - 25.03.2025
kupyansk25032025.jpg
"The situation in the Kupyansk-Svatove direction as of 20:00 /Moscow time/ March 25, 2025

▪️ In the Kupyansk direction, fighting continues on the western bank of the Oskil River, where Russian troops were able to advance in several areas and also regained control over the Sahunivka farmstead, within the boundries of Dvorichna.
▪️ Yesterday, our sources confirmed another crossing point over the Oskil River in the area of the Dvorichna National Nature Park, on the Krasny Pershy-Kamyanka line. There, Russian stormtroopers managed to occupy the territory of one of the chalk mountains and at least part of the Zalyvniy-1 forest.
▪️ Fighting continues in Dvorichna. Some time ago, Ukrainian troops were able to break through and occupy the Sahunivka farmstead, which is part of the settlement, however by now, the enemy has been pushed back to the western outskirts of the settlement. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were unable to stay in the center of Dvorichna for long.

▪️ Fighting continues on the Zapadne-Kalynove line. Here, Russian troops are also attacking, and quite successfully. The exact scale of the advance is not yet clear. There have already been reports about Russian units reaching the outskirts of Kindrashivka. According to our information, this is not true yet - the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces have indeed managed to advance in the direction of the settlement, but there is no talk of reaching the outskirts yet. However, it should be understood that the situation in this area is very dynamic and Russian troops may have advanced even further.
▪️ At the same time, Russian troops have also somewhat increased their activity on the eastern bank of the Oskil River. There are reports of attacks in the Stepova Novoselivka area - the settlement is still under enemy control, and the fighting here has been going on quite fiercely for a long time. A similar situation is in Kolisnykivka - the settlement is more of a gray zone in which small groups are fighting back and forth.
▪️ In general, the situation in the Kupyansk direction remains quite tense. Russian troops on the western bank of the Oskil River are forced to operate under tight supply conditions, as the Armed Forces of Ukraine are clearly trying to prevent reinforcements and supplies from being sent to the western bank of the river, and the number of crossings is limited. The terrain here is very difficult for an offensive due to the large number of forests and other terrain features."

Kursk - 27.03.2025
kursk27032025.jpg
"The situation in the Russian borderland as of 17:00 /Moscow time/ March 27, 2025

▪️ Russian troops continue to liberate the Kursk region, pushing enemy units back into the adjacent territory.
▪️ In the Sudzha district, information that Gogolevka was liberated from the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared on the Internet, but no official statements about the liberation of the settlement have yet been made public. However, a Russian flag was raised today by the fighters of the 51st Airborne Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces on one of the buildings of the Sudzha border checkpoint, located just two kilometers to the west of Gogolevka along the Sudzha-Yunakivka highway.

And the fighting is already underway to the south, on the approaches to Oleshnya.
▪️ At the same time, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces drove the enemy out of the northern part of Guevo and took control of the area around the settlement.
▪️ At the moment, only the border villages of Oleshnya and Gornal remain under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
▪️ At the same time, fighting continues to the northwest, in the area of the settlements of Voldymyrivka, Zhuravka and Basivka in the Sumy region, where, according to some reports, there are also local successes of the Russian Armed Forces.
▪️ Nevertheless, the Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has concentrated a large number of reserves in the Sumy region, and it can use them for new attacks both in the Kursk and the neighboring Belgorod region, where the enemy have not yet achieved significant successes."

"The situation in the Lyman direction by the end of March 27, 2025

▪️ In the Lyman direction, Russian troops have made significant advances on the western bank of the Zherebets River, along the Kolodyazi-Novolyubivka line, near Nove. In this area, the enemy was driven out of several forest belts and also lost some of the strongholds north of Kolodyazi.
▪️ According to the footage published by the enemy, the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces are already present at one of the strongholds southeast of Nove. However, it remains unclear whether they managed to consolidate their position at this stronghold, but the fact that they reached it indicates successes both to the south and east of it. There is no information about consolidation in this area yet.
▪️ To the north, the configuration of the front on the western bank of the Zherebets River, near Nevske, has been clarified. There, Russian troops were able to expand their zone of control near Novolyubivka and take control of several large strongholds.
▪️ At the same time, further to the north, fighting continues in the Nadiya area, where Russian UAV operators and artillery crews are hitting Ukrainian assault groups to the west of the village. In the Vyshneve sector, a Ukrainian air defense system was hit. And Lozova, despite rumors spread by some, remains under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. The enemy really tried to drive Russian fighters out of this settlement, but was thrown back to their original positions.
▪️ According to sources on the ground, Russian successes in the Lyman direction are not a one-time advance: these are the results of combat work over the past few weeks. Heavy fighting continues in the area, accompanied by very high activity of attacks from both sides. At the same time, both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Russian Armed Forces very rarely publish objective footage from this direction, which, however, does not indicate a lull."
