AI, to replace these level of competence is going to require new nuclear power plants and trillions of investment, all in a country that is starting to struggle to uphold its own infrastructure, due to third world immigration. Don't count on it happening any time soon.
They think the answer to this is that AI and robots will uphold the standard of living. Of course it doesn’t work like that. Even if a robot serves you your coffee and all cars are self driving who is going to stop the Indians from shitting in your beaches or the Haitian neighbours from eating your cats or the Gypsies from pick pocketing you etc. civilisation is not only about technology and infrastructure. People still need to behave civilised otherwise everything still goes to shit.
