There is a cartoon version of Journey to the West series (Dragonball was inspired by the original book). Boomer aged folks grew up on the live action series. I'm sure you can find one with subtitles / different languages if you scout through billibilli and other chinese apps.
Nezha 2 was out earlier in the year. The theatre experience was good and I actually think folks from this forum would enjoy even watching it subtitled in English with their kids.

I still think of my Chinese friend, when discussing the USA's obvious self-destruction and who is behind it. And they responded "who wo Americans think runs the USA?". Excellent question, the Chinese know more about the USA than most Americans.
To be fair, most foreigners know America more than Americans these past 2 years. Whenever I or other American Expats (Based around Asia) catch up with friends back home, they only notice things are a little more expensive and wars as just another thing in the background. It's very clear that there is real information asymmetry between those at home and abroad.
True. The education system in China is just so much more advanced that the USA. They truly do know more about this country than most Americans and they cannot figure out how this country ever became a super-power. I have to explain it was at one time a White country run by White men and that we used to have a rigorous education system and a sense of duty and that has all been replaced. They understand this quickly, but are shocked at how Americans cannot figure out who really runs this country and still falls for the fake two-party system.
Many of my students who were not on some kind of career track would get entry level jobs and just become discouraged at the conditions and treatment, which often included not being paid.
Those whose families had a little money would try to set them up with any kind of business they could run, like restaurants, coffee shops, or maybe some kind of import/export, but these usually failed and they would rather sit at home than be wage slaves in bad conditions, which has now become a trend in Western countries with depressed wages and increased costs of living because of 3rd world invasion.
Bringing in invaders for whom these horrid working and living conditions are an improvement in their quality of life is the globalization formula for technocratic slavery and it's interesting that China and Japan are succumbing to this since they were such ethno-national strongholds, especially for China because nationalist chauvinism has been part of Xi's popular appeal.
On another note, I don't think that In China the influx of invaders will result in the kind of dramatic increase in rapes that has been seen in the West because Chinese girls were already on alert and won't be surprised at the inclinations of the immigrants the way their Western counterparts were.
