What's to understand? Shouting n******s at everyone would not have helped out those White kids, no matter who started it. In fact it would have made it much worse, and, as already pointed out 100x in this thread, it's lucky tatted Mom wasn't murdered along with her kids.

So no, there is nothing to learn from how tatted mom handled the situation, and, at most, screaming n******s would have just made it next to impossible for the victims of the Blacks to receive any support whatsoever.

The only connection I know is that he's supposedly one of the four people who helped her set up her GiveSendGo. She was also counseled by some or all of these on how to remain safe, not speak to the press, etc. I have not seen any other details on this, so it's kind of vague what anyone's particular involvement is.

Putting up with stupid passengers is one thing, but he's reacting to her saying "all this white shit", referring to him following the Lyft rules because he wouldn't make an additional stop for her for free. I think he knew he would be terminated for using the n-word, but he says he's making a stand because he refuses to be pushed around. He was involved with setting up Shiloh's GiveSendGo, so he's following through on the idea of repaying black misbehavior in kind.

What is the down side for people making money for saying the n-word? How is this bad for white people?

The pro's are: getting paid, refusing to ignore black misbehavior, not being intimidated by someone playing the race card, equalizing the consequences for use of all racial slurs, and breaking out of the mental prison of white guilt.

It would take a lot of planning before the incident for Shiloh, the Somali whose rape charges had been dropped six weeks earlier, a child, and a Jew who helped set up her GiveSendGo to make this all happen. What are all the connections? How would all these diverse people trust each other to split the money and keep quiet? Would you trust a Somali rapist and some black kid to keep this secret?

There would be legal and physical risks to Shiloh and her family, and the reputational risks to all involved, and possible legal risks for fraud, in order to be the first ones to get paid for saying the n-word. That's a lot of risk for a very unknown reward. It did pay off, but there was no way in advance to know how it would turn out.
