A Colombian Presidential Candidate was assassinated yesterday.

Conservative Colombian senator Miguel Uribe Turbay was shot in the head on Saturday in an apparent assassination attempt. There was no immediate confirmation from the authorities on the status of his condition.

The 39-year-old senator is a member of the opposition conservative Democratic Center party, founded by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. The two men are not related.

Unconfirmed video showed the capture of the alleged assassin.

The US' Department of Justice and Department of State have started sanctioning Brazilian Supreme Court High Judge Alexandre de Moraes under the Magnitsky Act. Moraes is a key Lula ally and the de facto most powerful man in Brazil today.

Moraes, who received serious funds from Soros aligned organizations, has near unchecked powers and privileges in current day Brazil, and can censor, sanction, imprison (without charges or defence) and block legislation quite literally all by himself. Moraes is and has been going after Bolsonaro and other US aligned institutions and networks in Brazil, many of which are US citizens. De Moraes previously had a bout with Musk after the latter did not kiss the ring on Brazilian censorship laws, which were packaged as 'protecting democracy'. Aka Moraes wanted US based Twitter users blocked and personal info handed over for criminal investigation in Brazil.

The sanctioning of De Moraes comes near simultaneously with the US putting a 50 percent blanket tariff on anything Brazilian.

In response De Moraes just yesterday ordered the house arrest of Bolsonaro for 'violating Supreme Court orders'.

Meanwhile Brazil under Lula has descended into a third world socialist shithole, combining the worst of several political system and statecraft cultures. Brazil obviously never was a beacon to look up to, suffering from longstanding corruption, high crime rates, high poverty rates, poor ethics and sexual degenerate attitudes as it was.

Lula however has managed to sink the country right through previous bottom line anyhow, putting another few layers on that corruption onion whilst draining the upper class. Meanwhile woke brainrot has become the state approved ideology, with lawmaking akin to California's the norm. That's currently metastizing throughout society and institutions leaving a trail of destruction and decay.

For reference, the news in Brazil today

I want to like this, but reading up on her, Isabella Cepa is a feminist, so will probably end up poisoning whichever EU country she lands in.

Nonetheless, I suppose the decision of the EU Agency for Asylum is a net moral victory.

Update from yet another Latin American wokey shithole, this time Colombia. Gustavo Petro, Colombia's President and former commie rebel, has appointed Juan Florian as Minister of Equality. In this task Florian will oversee the 'sex education curriculum' in Colombia's schooling system.

Juan Florian is an open homosexual, a former homo porn actor, is HIV positive and in general comes across as mentally ill. However, there is currently some debate within the Petro Team on his appointment. Not because of the above, but because in a distant past he has used racial slurs on Blacks.

The Brazilian National Congress has just approved an amnesty law for Jair Bolsonaro and all those convicted in relation to the J8 protests.

Big loss for the Lula-Moraes regime.

I just returned from Ecuador and I am glad someone mentioned this. You could see the massive support for Noboa and I even went to the polling station with some friends who were voting for him. The lifesize cardboard cutouts that people put in their shops and balconies are a very neat campaign tool.

Ecuadorians are really freaked out by the crime upsurge indicating to me that is not a normal thing for them. It is a beautiful country with very friendly people and low costs. I really hope they get the crime under control because if things go well I may want to spend a lot of time there in the future.
Noboa is going hard on the narcos and for that he was nearly assassinated today.

Big police operation in Rio de Janeiro left 140+ gangsters dead, police units under order of Partido Liberal mayor moved into CV/ Red Command controlled areas of the city. Death toll will likely top 200, biggest police operation in South American history and the aftermath is turning sour due to the federal government under Lula (backed by de Moraes), they first denied support and are now coming out hard against this operation as public outrage is growing due to the deathtoll. Rio's mayor is from Bolsonaro's PL's camp. Timing of the operation is likely related to the coming COP40 event
