South Africa's Descent Into A New Zimbabwe

There were two accounts from two different people along the same lines I heard when I was over there..

Not sure if you would consider this to be a positive or a negative, perhaps it is only appropriate for SA, but not sure whether we would wish for it in Western countries.

The point was that the SA police permits a level of DIY justice.

The first example I heard was that in the black townships, if a crime takes place, the local tribal kings are allowed to simply carry out their own justice locally, even if that includes execution and cremation / burial.

The other example was from a very white neighbourhood - if someone does a crime, they may be disappeared into the victim's backyard in a similar fashion to the above, without excessive intervention from the police.

I prefer this to the opposite which you sometimes get in the West, where the tiniest amount of self-defense by a law abiding citizen can lead to court cases and punishment for the victim.

Say if anyone knows if these kinds of stories from SA are true.

Interested to hear what @BarrontheTigerCat would say on this, but will point out that you will be taking an enormous downgrade in weather if you move to the UK. The weather in SA is amazing from what I have observed, anywhere in Europe will be a step down but the UK in particular.
Yes SA has like one of the best climates and great amounts of sunshine, for example we have full sun days 98% of the time during winter, no clouds no rain, what a pleasure, I ate my breakfast outside on the veranda this morning in full beautiful sunshine.

Well the cops dont really tolerate that kind of mob justice they just dont really have a choice or a say, they do try and stop it many times but they need a lot of fire power, tear gas and rubber bullets and their own lives can be at threat. but if an individual tries to do his own justice thats not gonna happen, if a white South African shoots a black guy who is attacking him or breaking into his house it can be quite a problem the laws can punish you but some cops might just be fed up with always catching the same criminals only for them to be released again so they might just turn a blind eye to it and change the reports and not tell the full story of what actually happened it all depends on the situation, but the reality is there is such a backlog of crimes and court cases that it can take years to go to court and files go missing all the time, for example, when houses get robbed here they come and take finger prints and collect data but then you never ever heard back from them and just about everyone I know has also never ever heard back from the police, we dont know if the bad guys were caught, if the stolen goods were found etc we just never hear anything ever again, I dont even bother to report crime anymore its a total waste of time, last time someone tried to break into my house I didnt even call the cops, they probably wont even answer the phone and they want us to go into the police station and open up a case and then there is no one inside to help you and they dont even have a pen for you to fill out a form etc so most people dont bother reporting crimes, when my father was highjacked my family members went driving around the neighborhood and did their own detective work and found the car parked outside a restaurant and managed to start the car through the engine as the key was stolen and were recovered our own car without the cops, its actually best this way, if the cops find your car they actually will steal parts from your car before handing it back yo you Iv heard of many cases like this

I've spent 24h in south Africa and from the numerous people I've spoken to:

-everyone believes the country will collapse within 10 years
-the whites want nothing to do with the blacks
-the blacks hate the whites
-everyone has been mugged or robbed
-numerous people have witnessed a murder or have had someone they know murdered
-people with something to lose do not walk outside at night
-everyone owns a gun
-everyone has a doomer ngmi mindset
-everyone is either American style obese or look like a bodybuilder
-electricity is a rare treat
-everyone thinks their elected officials retarded
-most think homeless people bring it upon themselves
-they believe this is the future fate of America
-everyones scared to have daughters in this society
-bulletproofing their cars is something they'd all considered

Thieves try steal farmers animals, the farmer arrests the criminals and calls the police, police arrives and put the 2 female farmers in jail and releases the criminals.

The guy speaking is Wilem Petzer a well know SA joirnalist and youtuber who is now doing lawyers work.

How is the situation in South Africa now in terms of looking for a wife? Given how bad the situation is have the white women there become more humble or are they still as entitled as Western women? Many years ago I always remember South African women (especially the white ones) having big egos, though I haven't really met any anywhere in the last few years and am wondering if the situation has changed given the circumstances currently?

Some of those Dutch descended Afrikaans speaking women can be quite beautiful.

A HUGE price increase on electricity is being planned in South Africa, a lot of people are already struggling to keep up with their current electrical bills so this increase I predict is going to cause some serious problems and most probably some protests through out the nation when it finally happens.

Infrastructure was awsome, cost of living was great, crime was pretty low, beautiful cities.

After the apartheid regime ended in ZA, many Afrikaaner families immigrated to my area of Canada, British Columbia's Fraser Valley. (large preexisting Dutch Reform Church community) I remember older ones telling me about veldskool, a bush/field training program for high school-aged boys, ostensibly to toughen them up and prepare them for service in the SADF against the bleddy bleck terrs...do people still reminisce/talk about this?

I think they still have something like that, its called the commandos they still do this kind of training, I honestly dont really hear the Afrikaans talk too much about the past anymore, they kind of just living their lives in the present but the older generation of all races even the old black folk they are all heart broken at what the country has become because they were alive when the country was a world class country, they remember well and their hearts are sad at the destruction of the infrastructure, they know what we had.

The kommando reserve system was disbanded in the mid 90s and has been since then. The new government considered it an internal threat.

It seems that for every S African that immigrates to Canada, another one leaves to the US. A friend of mine worked tirelessly to get her stubborn parents out of SA and into Canada. They now live peaceful lives in north Van but her dad talks endlessly about Africa. The light in his eyes are out and I think this is true for many like him.

One of my closer friends is from a family who has been in Africa for 400 years. For 350 of those years, there were essentially no bleqs in his area of SA. Then the borders opened and his mom took his sister and came to Canada. He left shortly after to Canada and his brother moved to Cape Town. His dad stayed put and watched his neighborhood descend into such poverty and crime that my friend now refuses to visit with his family. Last time they were car jacked on a rural road. He had pulled over to check something and the first vehicle that came upon them stole their vehicle, leaving him and his wife with their 2yo daughter to walk 20km in the blazing heat.

Recently my friend and neighbor moved his practice to Florida. He was going to probably lose his license anyways as the BC college of physicians is still going after doctors who went against their vaccine mandates. Either way, another good doctor gone. But in his words, heard so often among people who have fled horrible situations, is that Canada is feeling too familiar to South Africa. The mass migration of people into the country who not only hate the native population, but also are making it their priority to erase them, is just too much for him to go through again.

Yes officially but it seems they still do this kind of training privately, they might have even changed then name if Im not mistaken, there are also groups like the Suidlanders who do emergency preparing, so if ever the country becomes really bad or theres a civil war they have a hidden isolated place in the country where all the members will meet with driving routes, radio communications where everyone will meet and start a new country basically from scratch, they have hidden tools and all kinds of equipments in the mountains, petrol, car oil, they even had seeds and they planning for farming etc etc, they dont really do military training though that Im aware of.

South African did and kind of still do for as long as it lasts have a very high standard of living for the middle class, we all have gardeners and maids, the wealthy can have up to 5 maids, 3 gardeners and even 2 private chefs that cook all their meals, PA's that run their homes and do their grocery shopping etc, we have big homes, cars etc, but our surroundings are collapsing, many people are even fixing their own roads, fixing potholes, taring roads, but they paying high taxes but the governments isnt doing its job, they off the grid, they have their own security etc etc, so in their homes and neighborhoods they are loving well but the country outside is falling apart and is dangerous, we even have advertising on highways yo bullet proof your cars for example, its obviously a need and wealthy people are buying that.

Regarding people who are leaving the country already a few years ago they said there is an average of 50,000 highly educated and wealthy people that leave South Africa every single year, the ones who cant get out go to the western cape, theres over 500 familes that are leaving Johannesburg every month and moving to the western cape for example, its been this way for like a decade so the numbers are probably higher now.

Services and infrastructure is collapsing, depending on the municipality there are some roads that are so bad you literally have to ride on the pavement or the car will fall into a large pothole, I heard the other day there are 2000 bridges in Johannesburg that are almost collapsing and might be closed, I have family members that have water cuts very often, the one time there was no water for 16 days, then theres no electricity, every single day when I drive around most traffic lights are not working because they have been damaged, vandelized or the cables stolen.

I know it all sounds very bad BUT we kind of still have a decent life the only really bad thing is the cost of living has gone through the roof thats whats making peoples lives hard and expensive, I dont think there is a single person in South Africa who hasnt been a victim of crime, we all have, multiple times, I also think there isnt a single house in Johannesburg that hasnt been broken into in the last 30 years, I will exclude new houses that are built inside estates, but if you in an older house outside an estate most probably every single house has been broken into at least once in the last 30 years the crime is kiterally that bad, even car theft, when I lived with my parents my father had at least 2-3 cars stolen from him and about 7 attempted car thefts on top of that, at one stage certain cars were stolen so much insurance companies refused to insure them, for example the VW golf MK1 was the most stolen car.

I know it might sound bad but you kind of get used to this and you can read people better and with experience you know who and what to avoid and how to secure your house etc
