This picture is actually from Mozambique. The message is obviously still the same. I looked at the hotel on google just out of curiosity. What I actually find the most striking is that there is essentially no fence or security structure around the hotel and its pool area. This means that people could have simply crossed the street and walked into pool area to steal stuff or harass guests. But it obviously wasn't happening.
Even in current day Germany that would be unthinkable. It shows just how much even the west has declined and how incredibly safe those colonies were at the time.

This is actually quite common in South Africa, there are lots of robberies that happen during the services, there have been robbers who show up during the offering and go around the entire congregation and tell everyone to put their wallets, phones and jewlery inside the offering basket and then leave.
My father once was at a small church service and robbers entered before the service started and pointed AK47's at everyone and made them lie down on the ground in the parking lot and hijacked x7 cars.
When I was a protestant I once attended a mega church and because these kinds of robberies had happened to them in the past they literally locked all the gates outside once the service started, security guards outside and during the offering time during the church service they locked the church doors, nobody allowed in or out during the offering and they had hidden plain clothed security mixed inside the congregation watching everyone and everything, once the offering was collected they loaded the cash into an armoured vehcile and took the money off the premises, since upgrading their security they no longer had this problem, you still had to watch your belongings though as thieves would hide in the congregation to steal handbags while people had their eyes closed while praying.
Things like toilets paper rolls were also stolen from the toilets.
At another church I attended as a boy they would often come into the parking lots to steal cars, the one morning they stole a car and my uncle who has an advanced drivers license together with a marks man shooter went after the guys in a high speed chase and shot the tyres out of the moving car and managed to recover the car.

In the last few months Iv really noticed that South Africa has become a full on police state, the amount of huge road blocks Iv been seeing and driving through and been stopped at is insane. Iv been physically stopped about 5 times in the last few months. People are being threatened at these road blocks and they demand full payment of all outstanding fines on the spot and they threaten you with jail time if you dont pay even though this is unconstitutional.
The new problem is the backlog of issuing drivers licenses, the cops dont care if theres a backlog or a problem at these roadblocks so good luck to those trying to navigate around this.

Sangomas partake in witchcraft and are feared by Zulus. One of my (non- South African) friends once told me that they hold a high position in Zulu society due to their perceived spiritual prowess. Years ago he had wanted to meet a sangoma, and in that short conversation she had told him his personal details which she couldn't have possibly known.
Sangomas engage in black magic and are quite likely demonically possessed. I'd personal avoid even looking in their direction. Sangomas are nearly always women and many of their most potent brewings contain human tissue. My friend also told me that some of these powerful Sangomas sometimes nab children in the poorer Black townships after which their few remains later get found down the road. Yet neither family nor law enforcement is interested in solving the crime due to dealing with sangomas.
