Another update:
The Russian Ark guy deleted everything. He deleted his YouTube channel, all his subscriber/donation platforms, his Telegram channel, everything, with no warning. This was right after the announcement that you may need to serve in Army under shared values visa to get citizenship. There was some back and forth about what this really meant, and I haven’t kept track of if that new amendment was clarified or not. His wife was having health troubles too. I assume they have probably made their way back to the States?
The “Russia: The American Dream” guy deleted his channel too. He is now dead set on becoming a missionary to Japan(?) on his own with his new Russian wife. Except that he has no money or real plan. He is now under the name Mission2Nihon. He is very depressed, taking antidepressants, and plans to leave his Russian wife and go back to the US to get job and then save money to go to Japan?
I haven’t checked on the Derek Huffman guy in a while, but ironically, I think he and his family are doing the best so far even with the military option. Victory favors the bold.
