Jesus didn't call people to perpetual discussion and argument. He called them to action. When Peter met Jesus by the shore, he laid down his nets and followed Jesus. He didn't know where the road would lead or what hardships lay ahead, but he stepped into the unknown with trust and faith. In life, we must also take a leap of faith and move forward on the road of life.
For me, that path leads to relocating. I know there are other threads on this topic, but I wished to dedicate a thread to practical goals and specific actions. I look forward to sharing and supporting others in their goals.
First of all, I have gone full remote using freelancing sites and small side gigs. I'm close to reaching my goal of $1000 a month in income. I anticipate reaching it by the summer.
Next, I am examining spots to relocate to. I have friends living well in Asia so will probably try this destination first. I have identified several low cost of living locations. There are several paths to legally staying in these countries. I will first travel to examine the place before pursuing longer term stay.
And that's it for now- bumping up the income over the next few months and getting in shape with daily workouts. I'm trying to pray more as I know travel can bring temptation and evils. One of my friends fell into addiction when he moved abroad. I pray for him and for myself so that God may give me wisdom in choosing healthy pleasures and the force of will to build a wholesome life.
