Pope Leo XIV (General Discussion)

Pope Francis defended sodomites for a reason.
Maybe you like sodomites. Pope Francis never defended and never will fags. Catholics are the chosen people unconquered by red jews. And never will.

Anyway there´s a coincidence between the Pope and JD Vance. They are both augustinians. And most people might not understand what this means. But if you know in which part of history did Augustine lived than maybe things start to make more sense.

Augustine lived during the fall of the Roman empire. And this Pope is the right one cause we are witnessing the fall of the US empire. Augustine witnessed the sack of Rome. I have a vague memory of Augustine books. But if I´m not wrong they were all about order. He was impressed by the chaos and defended order. But I will refresh this summer some books of him.

Apart this as I suspected they chose a moderate. If I´m not mistaken he will lean right. I mean as much as american pagans let him be right. He wore the John Paul II garments. So he will be inspired by him.

Nonsense, he absolutely did.

Furthermore, he even advocated for laws which encourage sin:

Again? What am I missing? He says it´s a sin.

He advocates for the legality of sodomites. That’s like advocating for abortion to be legal by claiming the government shouldn’t control women’s bodies and abortion is a decision between the woman and God.

There´s a difference between morality and law. More and less 4 or 5 differences. One of them is morality cares about the interior of the person. When law only cares about the exterior. Morality cannot be forcibly be enforced. Law can. Law might not be moral. Like traffic lights have nothing to do with morals.

Homosexuality is immoral. Because it goes against God word. If you can make it legal or illegal is a complete different matter. At best yes it should be illegal. But you can´t due to nordic pagans disguising as protestants aka americans. When US empire falls jews and fags will get what´s coming to them. And it might be nearer than people think.

This headline is fake news. I went ahead and checked the linked Independent article. The Irish legalized abortion and now have migrants from this Faustian deal. The Church bought some condo space in a building adjacent to the Vatican City, which unfortunately also houses that repugnant establishment- in 2008, which was a smart move after the 2007 real estate debacle. Berlusconi gave the Vatican a property tax exemption since the building spans, or is on the city state line, as I understand it. Hopefully, in time, all of it will be acquired, the lewd usage space exorcised, and turned into some rental office venue, or a museum of the Holy Inquisition. The Italian state should also return the historic papal residency which is their presidential palace now.

The Holy Catholic Church, by the virtue of its vastness and visibility, will always have some actual gay believers, you don't want to chase them around with a baseball bat, they deserve charity, and the Church has always encouraged therapy and spiritual healing, and then there is the lobby supported by the Democrat deep state, and more broadly by the Communist International, completely inorganic (this is also visible in Protestant congregations, where in general only those propped up by the government display gay flags, pastors like Tony Evans or Chuck Swindoll, and their living faith assemblies would never stand for that), Pope John Paul II had to fend off their attacks, and those of the wannabe "female priest" contingent, all of it coming right out of the US. Going to an all out war with them would not benefit the Church. When the king advancing against you has this much strength, you have to engage him diplomatically as Jesus said. Getting bogged down in a nasty fight is wasteful and counterproductive. Homosexuality has no legs, it's unnatural and contrary to human nature, it will die down naturally with time, we may pass away in the meantime, but that time will come. The Church is like a good parent, and tolerates those excesses within certain limits, knowing that the petulant child clutching her leg won't cause her to fall. Doomsayers will sooner die along with their prophecies, I remember pope Francis was supposed to bring about the ultimate end, yet neither me nor other people I go to church with have changed. In communist Poland, Cardinal Wyszynski similarly decided not to confront or totally and publicly condemn the government, as they would then have the excuse they had wanted, to at last attack with full force. He opted for 'dialogue'.

new pope, the first non-European [Ha ha], has broken all sorts of barriers in regard to LGBTQ issues, yet in some areas, he has remained as traditional as his predecessors had been

BTW, why are people such snowflakes? I laughed at Trump's joke- Habemus Papam! Trump is a red blooded man and has genuine respect for the Catholic Church, unlike those cold blooded EU lizards who feign staid and solemn reverence publicly, but probably tell distasteful jokes in private.

Mod note:
The conclave thread was renamed: "Pope Leo XIV (General Discussion)" thread. It's open for all Christians, regardless of denomination, to respectfully discuss actions of the new Pope.

So dumb. Seriously though, does this still win points with a significant segment of the population? I sense fatigue on the liberal side. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not around them much anymore, but when I am they don't seem so militant as they used to. Plus I feel like, at least in the US, young men are moving right. You would think Pope Leo would eventually want to lean into that if it's going to be a cultural thing to shift right.

....or maybe the whole world does go globohomo until the end

There needs to be a purge of the leadership as many in the Catholic hierarchy are all about social justice initiatives. The pro-migration talk by some Bishops is imo a money game as these people come in, donate money to the church, and fill the pews. The church I attend is almost all Latinos. The orders have been infiltrated as well. When looking at the bios of certain Franciscan groups some brothers openly stated their interest is ‘social justice.’

^It is problem at the school level, colleges like Notre Dame that used to be conservative have turned liberal.

I wonder if this ice blessing took place in that snake head auditorium with the hideous demon sculpture?

It was held at the papal summer residence in Castel Gandolfo. What you have there is the pope Paul VI auditorium, completed in the 70s, and you'd have to be high on hallucinogens to achieve the wide angle lens vision required to have a warped perspective like that, people's faces would look demonic too. Father Ripperger complained the bronze Jesus sculpture can confuse the viewer's mind with flashes of visions of some creature from a bad dream. It can be recast in the future since it's metal.

Schwarzenegger was there. Has the Pope called this event in, or are some activists, as usual, cozying up to legitimize their causes and get publicity? When governments can't pay their bills and support those non-profits any longer, these extracurricular distractions will go away.

About a month ago I heard what must have been an encore radio broadcast of an EWTN program where they discussed the Pope's appointments to the Vatican Dicastery- his circle of advisors. Except for one sound Scandinavian bishop, the choices were reminiscent of pope Francis' selections. The die hasn't been cast, this old guard will be changing.
