I didn't see a thread where to post an article like this, but felt it was worth sharing. I have seen this myself, that there is a danger of "going native" to the point of almost being ridiculous or weird. I remember a recent convert to the Russian Orthodox Church who would show up to liturgy in a long trench coat bearing pins from the USSR. Needless to say, the Russians weren't too thrilled about his attempts at "going native".

Not an article but since we are currently on the topic of war on the forum here is an orthodox view on war and the military, many of our Orthodox saints were soldiers and served in the military, even during the pagan Roman days they served in the military, there is a time and place to disobey orders though when it goes against our faith and morals as explained in this episode.
