Lounge of The Russian-Ukrainian War

I think I understand the spirit of where Trump is coming from, wanting to end the war, peace good, etc...but where does his sense of urgency come from? Those of us who have been following from the beginning have watched 1, 2 years tick by, then it hit 1000 days of conflict. Currently sitting at 3 years and 3 months, with no end in sight. As far as some sort of peace deal/ceasefire, Zelensky is just grandstanding and wasting everyone's time with the talk about negotiations, then making demands and pretending like he has a say in the matter.
Can't find the post right now, but the other day I saw Russia is recruiting 30-60k new soldiers a month, why would they want to stop now? What's in it for them? Why would Putin take his foot off the gas at this point?

Just completed my two hour call with President Vladimir Putin of Russia. I believe it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War. The conditions for that will be negotiated between the two parties, as it can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that nobody else would be aware of. The tone and spirit of the conversation were excellent. If it wasn’t, I would say so now, rather than later. Russia wants to do largescale TRADE with the United States when this catastrophic “bloodbath” is over, and I agree. There is a tremendous opportunity for Russia to create massive amounts of jobs and wealth. Its potential is UNLIMITED. Likewise, Ukraine can be a great beneficiary on Trade, in the process of rebuilding its Country. Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will begin immediately. I have so informed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of Ukraine, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, President Emmanuel Macron, of France, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of Italy, Chancellor Friedrich Merz, of Germany, and President Alexander Stubb, of Finland, during a call with me, immediately after the call with President Putin. The Vatican, as represented by the Pope, has stated that it would be very interested in hosting the negotiations. Let the process begin!

Trump is learning that ending this war is not actually possible.

As long as Trump refuses to own this war, then that's still a win. Just walk away from this hot mess, no need for WW3.

Yes Trump shouldn't have said he'd end the war in 1 day. After he said that, Ukraine invaded the Kursk region of Russia 6 months later, ensuring insane levels of hostility.

The Kursk invasion was a total failure and waste of money and lives, but they did it just to spite Trump and make sure he couldn't end it. When "get Trump" is the motto they will throw away an entire country and millions of lives to prove a point. Well done Democrats.

Trump consistently underestimates the incredible levels of hatred they have for him, and the lengths they are willing to go. Even I was surprised by the Kursk insanity however, seems like cutting off the nose to spite the face.

I know Martin Armstrong is predicting that Europe will go all in on Ukraine, and lose a huge war against Russia. Armstrong advises Trump to get out now before this thing explodes.

My prediction (which is admittedly pretty safe at this point of the war) is that Kursk will be the straw that broke the camel's back. It was too little, too late. They weren't able to achieve their objectives/timeline and eventually got pushed back out, in a much weakened state.
What was even worse for UA was how many resources, equipment and manpower were squandered on this high profile op. They haven't yet realized that photo ops and publicity stunts will not be enough to pull this off, and the Oval Office antics are just the icing on the cake.

Saw something in the news about Russia attacking Ukraine. Supposedly Putin helicopter was attacked by Ukrainian forces.

Any information about it?

Putin visited Kursk region last week by helicopter. Ukraine launched a big drone strike in the area at the time he was visiting. There's some disagreement about whether or not it was coincidence or a direct assassination attempt.

The last few nights, Russia has launched some very large drone and missile attacks all across Ukraine. Reportedly 400+ attacks each night, including heavy strikes on Kiev, with potential hits on US Patriot missile system sites.

Supposedly, Blackrock/German Head of State Merz has approved Taurus missiles for unlimited/full range use into Russia proper. Sounds like that's a good idea to him. EU is onboard with all such cruise missile systems (Storm shadow and the French cruise missile also) being approved at full range.

Trump's recent post about Putin going crazy appears to be his way of realizing that even he can't make a deal now. Trump's given too much support to Ukraine to get any negotiation credibility with Russia. It'll be settled in the field.
