Imagine reading a book or watching a film about a small island that had been invaded by foreign men.
More invaders in 50 years than the previous 900 years.
Hundreds of thousands of women and children are raped, tortured and murdered.
That island’s (successive) government(s) does everything it can to not only cover up the crimes, but often arrests the victims of the crimes. The police are complicit, the families ignored.
The invaders still come in their hundreds every day, welcomed and housed and given benefits the indigenous people cannot access.
They then take away the right of the people to be judged by a jury of their peers, a right held for 800 years.
They they bring in a law with a made up term of reference and appoint a tsar to protect the perpetrators so that if anyone criticises them or makes reference to their faith or their crimes, they can be arrested.
It would be classed as a horror film.
This is England 2026.
