There can be no political opposition in a democracy, and people cannot be allowed to vote for who they want in a free country. Free elections require restricting political discourse and options to that permitted by the ruling party, so that they cannot lose.

Hindenburg was the Reichspräsident in the period before Hitler came to power. Most of the residents are against the renaming and not only the AfD but also the CDU and FDP voted against the renaming however the leftist party votes outnumbered them.
So some history must be shoved in people's faces constantly, whereas other must be stamped out and erased. How many people "notice" something off about this..

If you look up the website of the cabin, it is still called under its own name. It serves food and has accommodation and is a 90 minute hike from civilization. Everywhere it is called under its old name and one wonders who has suddenly decided and attempted to force this name change. Wikipedia has been updated.

I looked up the German article to understand what was actually going on. It's because Ukrainians are considered war refugees. This actually means that they get "preferential" treatment in terms of rights. Thus, they are already eligible for "Bürgergeld" which is the best form of social and welfare benefits. In addition, the German state will pay for all of their housing and they also immediately receive a work permit.
Yesterday I came across an example of a single mom who was working part-time as a store clerk. Thanks to Bürgergeld, the housing money etc. she was able to "earn" €3300 net monthly. Therefore, while the title of the picture you posted is true, the only inconvenience for the Ukrainians is just that they have to look for new apartments, which can be annoying. One of my Russian speaking language exchange partners from the Ukaine was in a similar situation in Germany and said that it's a mental burden for the children to have to switch schools and find new friends.
But apart from what I've mentioned, there are no real disadvantages. The Afghans are still "lower tier", because they aren't allowed to work or receive Bürgergeld immediately. I doubt they have any plans to work anyway. So it doesn't really matter in the end.

Germany is going to ban lies. In the article though it states it is not clear what is punishable and what isn’t. This will likely be abused.
Lool. Germans have a class system for refugees? Looll. Only germans would come up with something so stupidly organized. Didn´t think things were so bad. Here´s a thought: deport them all or make them work. Ukrainians are settled from 2021 probably. In 4 years they haven´t managed to adapt and find a work by themselves? House cleaning and construction work is always available for them. Why do germans have to subsidize them? Damn bambies are really machines. If the German government cut off the financial aid to the Ukrainian women then they would be forced to work or to find a German boyfriend/husband to support them. Which would be a win win win because the German guys would get a Ukrainian girl instead of an awful German woman and the tax payer would no longer have to pay and the Ukrainian women would stop acting like westernized whores and would settle down. Everybody would win.
Fun fact: the preferential war refugee status is offered to both Ukrainians and Russians. Thus, there are some Russians living and working in Russia who have gone to Germany just to apply for those social benefits. They use that money as "passive income", while, as I said, still living in Russia and having their jobs as their main source of income.
And, yes, pre 2015 Germany was pretty awesome.
