Iran-Israeli Conflict Thread

Iran targeted Oman for the first time, two drones made impact in the Duqm port area. I suspect that due to the severity and number of attacks we could very soon see GCC aircraft hitting Iranian targets in return. The Saudis are already hinting at this, end the Saudis have allegedly also been pushing Washington for strikes on Iran even though they took the opposite position on world stage. This is reported by the Washington Post.

First reports on the targeting of an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces. Closing/throttling the Strait of Hormuz is Tehran's ace card and a nuclear tier weapon of its own. It seems they are edging towards making that call.

Ah, the bold posturing about a furious response and death and destruction to Israel and the US. It's not like we haven't seen or heard that a million times before from these guys...

The whole thing is starting to seem like an orchestrated theatre. I'm starting to think Andrew Tate might be right about this one.

Everyone likes Hollywood right?

The absurd claim that one third of Tel Aviv was in ruins after the Twelve Day War in 2025 originated with none other than Douglas MacGregor. That man has in the past 4 years slung so much unadulterated nonsense into the ether that it's a miracle there still are people looking up to him. Obviously not long after making his bizarre claims they immediately trickled down to CiK where it was presented as the gospel by the usual suspects. I guess MacGregor does his job as he copium dealer well though, you gotta give the man credit for that.

Your claims of 85%-90% missile interception rates by the Israelis are in fact a lot more absurd than anything Macgregor has ever said.

The real interception rate on Iran's more advanced missiles is closer to 15%-20%, from what I recall was the assessment of MIT prof Ted Postol. He is an expert on missile technology at MIT, and also happens to be Jewish, with close contacts and personal friendships with Israeli scientists and military tech experts in ballistics, so his info is based on the real and unfiltered feedback from Israeli sources on the ground. Postol is not politically biased in his technical assessments.

The quantity of missiles launched by Iran on Israel in the 12 day war was not anywhere near what would be required to "level Tel Aviv", however they did take out very important targets including, most notably, the Israeli campus for biological and bioweapons research, where several buildings were flattened. Those are physical assets that cannot be replaced, decades of research vaporized. The Iranians have demonstrated their ability to destroy heavily guarded targets in that and other strikes at sensitive military targets, including strikes at holy Jewish sites like the diamond trade center and the stock market...

This is the best rundown on current missile technology and the challenges of defending against them from prof. Postol, and on Iran's true capabilities:

I was wondering if Britain would get some payback for assisting the US.

China is now publishing regular high definition satellite images of US assets in the Middle East with identifications and precise targeting coordinates.

I tend to think this is more about China and resources and less about our relationship with Israel and trade at this point.

Dubai/Jordan/KSA/UAE would probably agree.

China has alternative sources of oil including Russia, and their demand for oil has already peaked as they are rapidly replacing their vehicle fleets with EVs. Even their boats will soon be replaced with electric engines, and in the 30s, thorium nuclear engines. The countries that are most exposed to Gulf oil being throttled in the longer term are Japan, S Korea, India and W Europe.

This war is about Greater Israel first and foremost. Levin, Graham, Rubio, Adelson, Singer et al aren't primarily concerned with China.

British bases on Cyprus being under attack would be a huge escalation.
Provided of course it isn't another (((false flag)))...

China giving the Iranians the precise intel on exactly where to strike, actually makes the most sense.
