This would be in everybody's best interests. Unfortunately, it is a perfect example of how whether you get Republicans or Democrats, everybody else still loses, since it's a fake, play-both-sides system. Nothing could stop the democrats from fighting Israel's war if they decided to do so, and why wouldn't they? They take AIPAC money just like the Republicans.

Most of Iran's energy comes from gas fired power plants. And the majority of their gas comes from the South Pars gas field. Take out the gas infrastructure (pipelines, pumping stations, gas fields) and they're left in the dark. Some of their power plants could switch to burning oil, but there's no infrastructure in place to provide a large enough oil flow (no designated oil pipelines running to power plants) to make oil a reliable alternative.

It was the same bullshit with the tariffs. Once the yelds reached 5% I think he placed a moratorium. Rinse and repeat swamp master.

I read theres some deal between Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran. And Iran would pause the attacks against them.

I think Iran (and Trump) are both doing the whole "no HE was the one that asked me out" thing girls love to do because they don't want to be seen as making the first move but there's also the possibility that Iranian leadership is so fractured that one guy doesn't know what another guy in the Iranian government is doing and who he is talking to.

No pretense. I don't think this war is necessary. But I don't have any love for the Iranian Regime.

I didnt vote for this and I don't believe it's necessary for American prosperity.

Of course I'm going to support the US war fighter because I've been there and understand what that's like.

If you want to read my commenting from a "this is how it is" approach as jingoistic because I'm not cheering on the US not accomplishing it's objectives now that we are engaged... That's your spin but I'm not gonna change your mind.

Could be the latter.
No one has seen Khamenei jr since the war started. He's either holed up somewhere or hospitalized (maybe even comatose), if not dead. In any case, he's rather unable to effectively rule - even if he's fine, he has to have limited comms, to avoid tracing - and without his oversight, lower ranking officials could be running their own shows.
