I'd never thought about this, and I actually shuddered at the the thought of being stuck on a ship full of chicks with PMS. I am sure the USN didn't consider it, and it’s totally plausible that "that time of the month" is a significant factor in all the mishaps the navy has been involved in in the last several years.

Dc did something similar by killing Superman and putting Batman in a wheelchair before reverting back to the original characters. It killed the comic book industry

I think the point of mentioning Spiderman was to illustrate how unlikely it is that Bibi will be cloned, and to point out that some far fetched claims are being made in general.

If you want to dig a little further, there’s a lot of Jews involved in the comic book industry. Schuster certainly sounds like a Jewish name. Furthermore, the whole business about killing off all of your main characters to create a death of Spider-Man and death of Superman, comic book, and then bringing everyone back to life a year later, just for a quick bump in sales, totally sounds like a Jewish thing to do and is ultimately what sent the comic book industry onto life support
