Iran-Israeli Conflict Thread

A report that Iraqi Kurds are remaining neutral and will not be attacking Iran. Maybe not so stupid after all?

Alleged footage of HIMARS systems being fired at Iran from Bahrain. If so, who is firing them?

Khatam Al-Anbiyaa Central Headquarters: "The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly welcomes the escorting of oil tankers and the claim of an American military presence for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, and we are waiting for them."

"(Speaks english) A reminder to the corrupted Island-man: The ground and the map of the war are in our hands. This will continue…"

A belligerent warship in international waters is a legitimate target. If they wanted to remain neutral, they should have stayed in India where they would be interned for the duration of the conflict - this is what's happening right now with an Iranian supply vessel "Bushehr" in Sri Lanka and a landing ship "Lavan" in India.

One thing I've noticed is the US mil does not seem prepared for the type of war we are witnessing in real time in 2026.
Not in warfighting capabilities, but rather in terms of OSINT nerds being able to go online and compile information and get it out to the relative masses of their respective niche channels, which then get consolidated and amplified on X, etc. Some of these mil bloggers have years of experience and use all kinds of crafty things like the Pentacon pizza tracker, etc... The interconnectedness and sheer volume of information that is online whether you want it to be or not makes it quite hard to mask big moves, especially for any length of time. Seems there was not a ton of learning going on in the Ukraine for Nato, which is doubly ironic if RU is now feeding intel to Iran.
Regarding the hotels being hit or the "friendly fire" on the F-15s, those are natural when the host population is becoming or is already sympathetic/ideologically aligned, at least to some extent with the local guys. Especially with how the US exited A-stan, folks over in the sandbox seem to understand you just have to outwait Uncle Sam, cause his wife and kids are very impatient...

When you compare this to the beginning of the GWOT where USG and mercs basically operated with impunity and pretty much had carte blanche, it's actually quite interesting. It seems they didn't anticipate getting hit back this hard and that's why the discombobulation we are seeing. There's probably some bad Intel about how close to civil war/revolution the people of Iran were, which also threw of the calculus. Looks like lot of folks are spooked because they didn't plan for it and are now basically "damned if they do, damned if they don't". The outcome of war is never predetermined and the second and 3rd order effects remain to be seen...
Interesting times for sure.
