Is just me or is the materials that have been used to build modern house about a stupid as possible (ie 2x4’s and plywood mostly)? Tornados shred houses like toothpicks, wildfires use houses as kindling wood, termites can wreck havoc. Water damage results in mold and rot/decay. Not energy efficient, drafty, not durable for long term without major repairs, bad for environment the list goes on and on. Thoughts? Solutions for improvements in the future of home building?
