That’s incredible. Having previously worked in the radiology department in a hospital it’s hard to see how this could have happened. The pre scanning process prior to a patient having an MRI was very thorough. I remember having to return a patient back to his ward because he had a small amount of shrapnel lodged in his leg from a gunshot injury. Apparently the risk of the magnetic force pulling it straight through his skin was a major risk factor. But a 20 pound chain…
