Thread for watching over the state of old noble families, and movements that aspire to restore their claims to a throne. A sad way to put it: thread on the gradual death of monarchy in the modern leftist world.
I'm moved by the case of Carlism in Spain, cause that is practically dead now since its flag prince Sixtus (Bourbon-Parma) (turned 85 yesterday) had no children, is old and sick, under (Republican!) French guardianship, with rumors of him having alzheimer which would make him unable to be King even in pretense. His rights to the throne were questioned by many Carlists and even so he was the only suitable candidate left in his branch of the Bourbons. His brother Carlos Hugo was a socialist and Hugo's two sons are excluded by their marriages.
The leaders of the Carlist Communion pretend everything is right, don't address the rumors and don't present a suitable successor, they turned into grifters for hispanic monarchists. The leak of Sixtus state last year was controversial among Spanish right wingers.

Now you have Spain, ruled by a liberal Bourbon branch, its King married in morganatic union with an abortionist, and with socialist Parties taking over.
