If you look at it from a big picture perspective, all of those things are actually a big deal, especially compared to this time 2 or even 3 years ago.I’m not as black pilled as you, but that’s mainly because anybody with a brain saw from Trump admin 1.0 that he’s mostly a BS artist so his flip flopping was expected. I do think that deportations and self-deportations have gone way up including border crossings going to near zero which is a positive sign.
I’m noticing less traffic, less immigrants, and ICE vans which is directly observable. They kind of had to, because they infused billions with that big bill into ICE enforcement and facilities. The massive influx of money (I think it was around 130 billion, but don’t quote me) and putting border control in charge of certain centers also wouldn’t have had made any sense if they were doing nothing.
Of course it’s not enough and his rhetoric on H1Bs is a travesty.
Another thing I don't see being discussed is how Trump has managed to get all of these different emigrant ethnic groups to be fighting amongst themselves vs before being united by causes like "BLM" or whatever.
