Yes. Francis was liberal and stacked the college of cardinals with others like him, then the population the next pope is being chosen from is already rotten. This is how all institutions work. I laugh when people think a new leader will change things. It’s only happened once in my lifetime and that was with Trump, a guy who doesn’t care to shake things up. The institutions are already subverted. Where are all these politicians and leaders being chosen from? The pope is going to choose people like him as Cardinals who in turn keep the same policies.

To an extent but it’s all relative. Compared to all the others that came before him he is actually doing some things right. I mean compared to the Bush and Cheneys of the world he is vastly superior. Can he do more? Sure. But I don’t want to derail the discussion on the Pope so I will not comment further.
