Depends on what you mean by "successful" and then looking at the trajectory of this country, I would disagree with it being on the easiest.God put man in the garden to tend it. Work predates the fall of man and subsequent curse. There is nothing wrong with working hard, what else are you going to do with your life? Sit around and be idle?
Working simply to "be rich" however is definitely a problem...
Proverbs 23:4-5
4 Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist.
5 When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven.
The Apostle Paul to Timothy
(1 Tim 6:6-10)
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
Hands down, America (with all of it's problems) is still one of the easiest countries to be successful in and anyone in here complaining about how bad it is should just try going to the 3rd world and see how it works for them there. Folks (and entire countries) are poor for a multitude of reasons and one's attitude/outlook is the main reasons. Can-do and never-say-die attitudes, along with a healthy dose of faith in God built the west. Winners win and whiners whine.
If I was wealthy, I would move to Europe, have kids, and spend my time with them and working very low stress work to keep my mind busy. But I am not at that level yet, so I keep working my 7 day a week schedule.
In the west, the satanic elites and their lap dogs win. The rest of us are getting crushed, whether you want to face up to this reality or not, it is still the truth.
