Yeah, I mean, that's why he's a funny author but never quite made his bones as a political actor. He can't read the room. It's just all about "how can I prove to people how much smarter and rational I am compared to them in the most callous way".
We know he had a falling out with Nick, whom he now recently called a "bulbous forced meme" which is laughingly absurd. Andrew didn't have a political quarrel with Nick, is was clearly a personal one, and he seems to have those with anyone who interacts with him for any significant stretch of time. Mr Bond, PaulTown and Nick are prominent examples, but he does that shit all the time.
I know people like that. People with a chip on their shoulder, I mean. They can't really understand other people's feelings, not because of psychopathy or autism, but because they obsessively think about themselves and beholden to the idea of always being above it all.
I don't think Charlie should be declared a Saint as is happening now in some places, but living in an interconnected world, you can mourn when shit like that happens. This "it's unnatural to mourn people who aren't part of your clan" stuff is literally why third world people are third world people. Who live in mud huts. Where is the knightly sense of compassion even with political enemies that made Europe great?
And also, let's not kid ourselves. He's not standing on principle. He actually made a fuss about how people shouldn't celebrate the death of Elizabeth "I want to extinguish White people in general, but British and German people in particular" II.
He simply doesn't want any compassion extended to people against whom he holds a grudge. Which is basically everybody at this point. I was following with interest when he seemed to have his religious conversion, but now it's just the same masturbatory cynical shit that he supposedly got tired of beforehand. Next thing, he'll probably go back to telling us how much he loves hookers, and how the most important thing for our societies is accommodating them, because women are all trash and all of that.
I did think he was going Orthodox for a while, but I don't really think anybody who goes to confession would keep that shit up this long. Maybe he sits in a Uniate or Oriental Church every couple of weeks and allows it to feed his prelest.
It just seems childish and stupid now. Nobody with half a brain thinks Charlie Kirk was some sort of hero now, but he was clearly killed for holding views that most of us hold, and anybody who has experienced any degree of persecution for those beliefs should at least be able to shut up for 5 minutes and demonstrate propriety that way.
