Right how is it that you can make calls from the middle of the Sahara hundreds of miles from a cell tower? If you don't believe in satellites you need to come up with an alternative hypothesis for how this technology functions.

Exactly... that's why I do believe in satellites.

Also because I am an artillery man I know the earth is round.

They can simply be at the edge of the atmosphere at something like 80,000 to 100,000 feet, or held up by helium balloons.
Coincidentally, NASA is the largest consumer of helium in the world.

As an engineer, it seems like working in the factories where these balloon satellites are made would be a good career. Do you know what companies are making them?

The alternative is to think everyone involved in this (pilots, engineers etc ) are all in on it and are secretly doing all of their work assuming a flat plane earth while pretending to everyone else that they think the earth is a sphere. You could say this is another example of the elites conspiring to present a false reality but the vast majority of people who are 'in on it' wouldn't be elites but just regular pilots and engineers and such.

Not believing in the existence of "outer space" and the theories on flat earth are 2 different things.
Many people believe in both at the same time, but it's not required.
Space can still be fake on a round globe earth....it just means there's some kind of barrier in lower earth orbit.
Commercial pilots fly at about 30,000 to 40,000 feet, which is not even halfway to the 90,000 to 100,000 feet where the helium balloon satellites may be.

I am not really understanding the whole conspiracy theory. So if there is no space what is there once you get outside the earths atmosphere nothing? And what are the stars we are seeing in the sky at nighttime that people have been seeing for thousands of years (long before technology existed to be able to fake stuff).

The theory goes that there is a impassable firmament at the edge of the atmosphere as described in the first chapters of genesis in the bible.
The stars are also there, but OUTSIDE the firmament....meaning they can be seen (as if through glass) but cannot be reached.

When I was a small kid there was very little light pollution where I grew up and you could see many satellites- as we assumed the phenomena were- flying very fast across the sky at the same time in different directions, slightly dimmer than stars, but there were many stars that were still less bright, the satellites obviously didn't twinkle.

I don't think many come equipped with cameras but if the focus is on the earth if something flies in front of the lens at a shorter distance it won't be noticed.

There are many ISS tracking sites, more than 10 years ago I went outside to see the flyover, it was very bright and fast. One guy took a picture with a telescopic lens, and you could see on that poor quality photo it was not just a dot but something cylindrical with [solar] panels attached like wings.
