A question about a supposed contradiction.

Matthew says Jesus was born during the reign of Herod, but Luke said Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem for the census that was 2 years after the death of Herod.

So how can this be explained?

When I think of Christianity in France I usually think of it's long history of Catholicism and how intertwined the Catholic Church was with France until the French Revolution. Now I usually think of French as super atheist types so was a bit surprised these sort of churches within the nation. I didn't think there was really an evangelical scene there and according to the video they are still only like 3% of the population but there's some potential there for growth since it's mostly younger people.

More convert culture nonsense. I listened to a two hour long video of this guy and his crocodile tears converting to Catholicism 4 months ago. Now he has converted again to Oriental Orthodoxy.

The strange thing about this is that this convert culture is deeply modernistic, secular, and shallow. It's the part of protestantism that is really not good. "Just find a new flavor". "Jump to a new thing when you get upset". Everything is mixed with this grifting online attention seeking culture as well and it goes into hyperdrive. God bless everyone who is searching (converting) to go deeper but it's so mixed up it's a treacherous path.

Most converts I see are converts to Eastern Orthodogsy from some kind of Protestant. Seems to be more of an Orthodox thing. It attracts that type
