This isn't surprising to me. If your primary focus is politics, Protestant theology doesn't lends itself as easily to that end as the sacralist churches do.

If you are talking about American politics, it seems almost completely Protestant. The president is surrounded by dispensationalist/Zionist Protestants, hell bent on ushering in the antichrist. Honestly the Protestant label is much too broad. I would not want to be thrown into the same category as these judiazers if I was Protestant.

What I was responding to was pointing out that in elite conservative circles, you have more Protestant to Catholic conversions whereas on the ground level it's the other way around.
