BRICS Thread

BRICS countries at the Kazan Russia summit are pushing for an international banking payments system in alternative to the western controlled SWIFT system. Russia was infamously thrown out of the SWIFT system by western globohomo countries after the Ukraine war started in 2022.

Also, they ALL want to get away from using the US dollar to determine values and pay for goods and services, especially for things like oil and gold.

Trump threatens BRICS countries with 100% tariffs if they stop using the Dollar. Who is advising him? They need to go.

Trump can't solve all of the US' financial problems with tariffs.

This hardline approach will backfire, as some BRICS countries may just decide they no longer need to sell goods to the USA. Russia for instance is already so sanctioned, it can't sell anything to them anyway.

Also, without reducing the 35 trillion dollar US debt and backing the dollar with something more secure like gold, other countries are not going to take anymore chances being too exposed to the volatile US currency.

The BRICs currency was an idea that got shot down. Would’ve been a big institutional target (euro) and unfair day to day to most of the economies outside of China and Russia.

Its really just about providing a mechanism to exchange different currencies. The US dollar is still welcomed and is up to the “free” market to decide.
