Artificial Intelligence Fakery, Detection and Implications

Is this a compilation from different years or did it all happen on the same day ?

It's got to be a compilation.

Looking at the latest edition, which took place today, they did away with the super tall contraptions on top of bikes. You have to wonder about the brain trust that set those stunts up...

I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I'm on WhatsApp for notices of certain Catholic groups that I belong to and have noticed people are posting AI generated videos for inspiration, not realising that is what they are. One I watched this morning was some AI rabbi informing us about how Jesus prayed before performing miracles and on the same channel a video warning us not to wear a certain colour in January. Why he's posting videos of rabbis is bad enough, but these are fake rabbis with misleading content.

I'm able to still discern AI, but they seem to be ironing out and refining the flaws and making it harder. Is there a fool proof way to detect them?

There are still subtle artifacts that give them away. But you have to look closely, slow videos down, and inspect them. Movements can be strange and unnatural. Things can often happen that do not make physical or anatomical sense. It's still difficult for AI to get the whole scene correct all at once.

Then there is the fact that AI is pretty good at detecting AI.

At a certain point AI will probably get so good that the assumptions we've worked with about reality will break down and we won't be able to trust anything other than what is physically happening in front of our face. It's actually probably a good thing to have happen.

It's everywhere now, across every platform online, and as the technology develops so too does the mass deception.

You received some good advice above from @Northumber about noticing unnatural movements and so forth.

I would further encourage you to review this thread and in particular post #15, linked below for your convenience. It contains some resources on the topic including a link to an Instagram account which is dedicated to giving tips on detecting AI. The owner gives a running commentary over AI clips and provides detailed "tells" to look out for.

You may like to consider sending people in your group some clips from that page or similar pages to help remind them about the omnipresence of AI generated videos, their inherently manipulative nature, and to offer your connections some tips to identify AI media.

Please feel free to share your own lessons and experiences along your journey of wading through the flood of fakery online and waking others up to it.

I hope this helps. All the best.

More AI like the last RFK jr video you posted a while ago? Just asking as we're living in an info war age beyond anything we've ever witnessed.

Correct. From what I can tell, he starts off with an un doctored snippet of speech from RFK Junior that is not AI generated. Then he turns on the AI after a few sentences it can get really funny.
