We were made in God's image.

Perhaps the flesh can be improved upon, but giving up the image of Humanity would be a surrender of the mirror of perfection of God.
To add to this.

In the Second Coming, most if not all Christians will be resurrected, and supposedly even those who are not will be a thousand years later.

If you believe Universalism, perhaps all Mankind will live again.

As Jesus Christ grants eternal life to those who believe in him, there is certainly a group within Mankind who will be immortal. Perhaps no faith lasts forever, but there will always be some with faith, for God will always be praised on Heaven and Earth.

As such, for humanity to permanently depart from the human form, everyone of those people and their descendants would have to willingly choose either to stop having children, or to accept such a transhuman form that departs from the image of Man.

I fervently reject that notion.

I did before I believed in God. And now that I have returned to the Faith, and know of Jesus Christ as both my God and a Man, I believe in it more than I ever did before.

A mirror because it is the perfect image of God, but just a reflection because we are mere men, not God.

I have long found the idea of Humanity using transhumanism to distort it's image to be an unpleasant one. Even back when I was an atheist.

I much prefer the notion that we will reach a point where we can choose to give up our flesh and become beings of pure spirit like Angels. Some have suggested that Heaven is like this, though the implication that Enoch, Elijah and Jesus Christ went to Heaven in the flesh suggests otherwise.

Stories such as All Tomorrows and Time Trap that explored this notion have always aggravated me.

It is akin to saying that all Europeans will mix with third world invaders and that their descendants become a culture and people alien to them. The worst kind of genocide. Corruption of heritage and inheritance.

I have no idea what you're saying. I'm trying to describe an experience and come up with hypothesis and you're saying you know something theoretically without the experience simply because you "believe" something. I think the difference between you and I on this subject is I am speaking from experience and you are not and are therefore attributing to me things that you heard from others when you were an atheist. I am ignorant of pop culture alien and UFO theory, the things I describe are my own ideas and knowledge and so the terminology and names you are dropping mean nothing to me as I have not read or listened to much (if anything) on the subject.

Hence, the conversation has stopped because you're "angry" and have ceased to "listen." I'm not trying to be rude because you seem to be arguing in good faith, but it's akin to having a conversation with a "know it all" and therefore becomes boring.

You do know that according to Christ's teaching if we are good Christians we go to heaven and therefore are immortal already don't you? Just like with Him, because we are in His image, there is no death in the way that we as humans understand it. Death is the "grand illusion" if you will.

We we're doing good there for awhile 😇... But now I'm out. Peace brother.

You are espousing transhumanism with the justification of a "personal experience from the skies".

To me the immortality of the human form is a part of my faith. Humanity will always exist in a recognisable form, as Jesus Christ was born a Human Man.

Creating hypotheses for an experience is no excuse to deny God's promises.

And he did promise that Jesus would rule after his Second Coming forever.

Would you claim that Jesus Christ would alter his body to look like these "evolved humans" as you call them?

You arrogantly claim that I have no personal experience on this subject, but I have shared experiences with the demonic many times on this forum.

And the one thing I have not neglected to mention, is their hatred of us, of the human form, and of our flesh. From their attempts to destroy the human sex, to their attempts to corrupt the family, to their Nephilim offspring that ate human flesh, they despise Mankind in it's entirety.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8

As I said before, Heaven is believed by some to be a place where we lose our flesh and become fully spiritual beings.

Regardless of whether that is the case or not. If all men who live on Earth with flesh depart from a recognisable Human form, that would imply the extinction of humanity.

Would you surrender your human form to look like a Grey Alien if it meant immortality?

Would you do so if every other human already had?

It really boils down to that question. I cannot tolerate the insinuation that the Human form, not the human body corrupted by sin, but the form and image God created is flawed, and must be fixed with science to create a "superior image".

It is something I cannot abide, it is an insult to God's artistry and wisdom.
