Early to Mid 90s was the Nadir IMHO of the 70s/80s Alternative Underground that everything since regurgitated, but lacked the initial Creative Passion of that time. In other words...mostly all down hill from late 90s on.

I love James' music and have for a long time.



Their Laid album is one of the few CDs that I can play from start to finish over and over again and still never get tired of it. Even the order of the songs on the album is put together well. I still remember hearing it 1993 when I was in HS - one of my friends had it playing in the car. Over 30 years later and I'm still listening to it. My then gf / now wife got me tickets to see them live at the 9:30 club in DC many, many moons ago...
