TX AG Ken Paxton is leading in the polls for the 2026 Texas U.S. Senate Republican primary race.
Ken Paxton is leading with 36% support, U.S. Senator John Cornyn trails at 27%, while U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt receives 15%. Meanwhile, 22% of respondents remain undecided

He's a career politician so You'll definitely find dirt, if You look for it. But he has a reputation of a bulldog when it comes to migration issues and a track record to prove it. So that alone puts him ahead of the competition.

He formally rebuked the Texas Medical Board in its persecution of Dr. Mary Bowden over her prescription of ivermectin to save a covid patient.

He has filed a lawsuit against a hospital for illegally transitioning children.

These could be red meat for the base, but it's more based than his opponent Cornyn.
