Since there are many who like to take the ending of James 2 and pit it against Paul in Romans 4 and Ephesians 2, these earlier verses are vital for context. Whereas Paul is not concerned about justification or vindication before men in his chapters, but Justification before God, here James is talking about justification before men: "I will show you my faith by my works."
I wasn't sure where to post this but how come nobody ever brings up Matthew 3? Matthew 3:7 quite well illustrates that Good works aren't necessary if you have faith, but rather that if you don't have faith, God will grant you the gift of it if you produce good works.

What's the definition of 'good works?'

So then it isn't true that faith comes as a natural consequence of good works.
Not every atheist thinks God is evil.

Some just think he doesn't exist. I remember a youtuber I watched as a kid, Hemant Mehta, said that he wanted to believe and that if God ever revealed himself to him he would convert.

I think there's a big difference between those who claim that God is evil and lie about what happens in the Bible to justify doing so, and those who deny evidence of him.

Namely, in that if you would call God evil, even if you did good works and gained faith in him, you wouldn't be saved anyway.

How could such an arrogant person do good works anyway? So egotistical as to call a God they don't believe exists evil but too cowardly to call his followers evil.

It's always God they call evil. Not Jesus because all know deep down that he was perfect. Not even Christians. I never hear anyone saying Christians are evil, not even Satanists or Pagans. It's always "God", or "Christianity". Strange that.

I don't know man.

There are people who do charity, who are giving and don't believe in God or have faith. Not sure they are bad people or satanic. They are just...lost.

I'm not sure what you mean? Isn't that what I said? Plenty of atheists can be saved.

Heck, part of why things are so ridiculous these days is because the entire globalist elite being exposed as Satan worshippers is simultaneously proof that Satan is evil and God is good.

If an atheist asked me today why God allows evil, I'd tell them it's because they don't believe in him, and he doesn't want to send them to Hell, so he allows evil to show them that Satan is not good.
