St. Paul also cautioned that anybody who seeps with a prostitute becomes one flesh with her, a union only a husband and wife should form.

If a woman gave demons the access to somehow afflict her, when you become one flesh, they can get access to you as well, as with all sins because of God's mercy this isn't always the case.

I've bolded the above to reiterate what Thomas noted -- this rule is not new, it's just been highlighted.

The rules thread was updated to provide clearer guidance to new members; not to advertise a new rule or a change to an existing rule. In sum, the clarification of this guideline will not change how you or others interact with the forum.

You signed up almost two years ago, so you are well aware that this guideline has been in place since the early days of CiK, even if it wasn't explicitly noted in the forum rules thread. Please do not stir up debate based on an unfounded premise.

If you want to debate the nature of sin, the interpretation of scripture, etc., there are other more appropriate threads where you can continue discussing these topics.

In any case, considering the high standards inherent to the principles and rules of CiK, the moderation here tends to be fairly lenient.

For the sake of maintaining standards in the forum, and to avoid further commotion, I accept the moderators’ ruling that any sex outside of marriage is considered fornication, and that all discussions about relationships must remain within the context of Christian marriage.

I will raise no further objections to this rule.​

No. I would consider monogamous marriage to be equivalently moral in worldly terms. I certainly recommend Christian marriage though. Vows taken before God, with Christ in the home strengthening and preserving the relationship.
