Not true at all. How many Iranians have you dealt with in real life? Iranians are not like Thais or Filipinos, etc. If an Iranian disagrees with you then you are going to know about it. Obviously in Iran people are limited in what they can see or do by a brutal oppressive government but outside of Iran if you meet Iranians you will know that they are anything but subservient.

Not sure how Iran can close down strait of Hormez without alienating the rest of the Arab world. I don't think Iran can afford to make more enemies.

That's why they are just striking Israel, not American bases, nor shutting down the strait. I think it's really their only play right now.

What it really comes down to is public morale. Which side will give up first? If Iranians rally around their government then this war will could last a decade. I don't think Israeli citizens are as motivated. They need a fast victory or for America to step in.
