This was the same #MeToo bandwagon that got Trump on the hook for $5 million and then an extra $80+ million for “defaming” E. Jean Carroll over her “rape” and “sexual assault” allegations.Harvey is the same ogre that BUILT that system back in the 80's and 90's with his political support and messaging. No sympathy for him.
I am not saying that knowing what HW’s genitalia and body look like proves “rape” (there was a lot of transactional sex in his life), but the accusers got the most basic details about these aspects completely wrong, i.e. they provably made the allegations up.
Any system that allows that and rewards it is the same system that took a bizarre set of allegations from a truly bizarre woman named E. Jean Carroll (see her Anderson Cooper interview, for example) and tried to ruin Trump again.
The best way to try and destroy a man’s reputation, whether it’s Assange (whom I am half to three-quarters very critical of) or Trump, is still by making or flaring up amorphous and false/dubious sexual assault and rape allegations.
This is not about some maudlin sympathy of mine for Weinstein.
The critical lack of corroborating evidence against him, plus outright lies from a number of accusers, flows into the rest of the legal system.
