Dear Kings
The purpose of this thread is to acknowledge our fellow members and their contributions.

To mark 500+ days of operation, let's recognise the efforts, insight, wisdom, and tact of our fellow brothers -- and a few sisters -- who put in effort to collectively make CIK a unique corner of the net. Today is Easter Sunday / Pascha, and as Christ is Risen to uplift the world, so too we are called to support each other.
On CIK, the spirit of the RVF rep (reputation) system has continued to some extent through members writing on other individuals' profiles. I encourage these profile posts to continue. That said, the rep tradition was mostly lost with the change of software in RVF 2.0. Further, on RVF we had appreciation threads for individual members, however with a smaller pool of members at CIK, this thread offers a streamlined single space for that purpose.
The prior rep system was mainly based around two types of recognition:
(1) if you met a member in person. It can useful to note if you've met (in-person) or even talked to a fellow member (via audio). In this case, keep any comments warm, vague and non-identifying. If in doubt, ask the member you met if it's OK to write about "X" thing.
(2) if you thought a member contributed value to the forum in any way. These were usually general compliments and/or could include a link to a favourite post to explain a 'why' behind the rep. At CIK, this has been the most common reason to give someone a rep.
Since we're here on a volunteer basis, offering appreciation and recognition is a useful way to give something back in spirit and to encourage other members to maintain their positive, useful, and informative contributions.
